I over dried one of my tubs and only have fruits growing out of the center. Looks like it's going to be a shitty flush too.

Do you guys shake your jars immediately prior to spawning to bulk? Mine are at 20% ish right now and growing rapidly. Should be done soon!
And I gotta get some agar transfers done this weekend, blah. These clones I took are colonizing so nicely on the grain I wanna make a “master” plate of sorts for them that I can use in the future.

Not quite sure what you mean. Typically jars get shook first at 25% and a second time around 70%. Typically doesn't need a 3rd for colonizing, but you still shake to break up the grains and pour them out easily when spawning.

Excited to be building this flow hood. Which way should my filter be installed? Does it matter? I see the arrow, but on most the builds I've seen, the weather stripping is against the furring strips on the inside of the box.

One side has foam stripping and the face of the filter is recessed a little bit in the frame. The other side has the metal frame flush with the filter.

I know on my filter it has an arrow to indicate airflow but it also says that it can be installed facing either way without affecting performance.

But I would argue it is as related as drying em; over having a psychedelic experience.

The stripping is often something that is done to order so it can be on either side. Follow the arrow. If the sealant is on the other side, just make sure you have it caulked up with some high quality polymer construction glue (feels like silicone and comes in the same tubes but you could glue yourself to the ceiling with it if you'd really want to, ie, a shitload more adhesion force). It's good to take your sweet time for this, as the glue doesn't harden very fast and you don't want excess pouring out at all sides.

That’s what I meant - you gotta shake up the jar to break up the grains before adding to substrate, yea? May have been a dumb question in retrospect.

If you didn't, you would be scooping it out with a spoon or something like that, then turn around and break it apart mixing with bulk anyway. Not sayin it's a dumb question, but when you get to that point in your grow, it'll make sense as the most reasonable way to get your spawn out.

Ive got a few shoe boxes going right now and they have been stacked 4 high... It seems like the top ones colonized and are pinning faster, I assume because they get more light?
Does anyone els have this issue with stacking boxes? Should I un-stack them so they all get the same amount of light?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

i doubt its the light its probably just the weight of the totes pushing the lids down making a less breathable seal?
ive only stacked 3high tho. never had any issues. besides the usual isuess
