If it did I think we would all be fucked.

Like 5-10ccs. I pour so it's hard to judge but I use just a splash.

400ml of LC should inoculate at least 6 cases of jars.

I doubt it will.  I have been using the same lids for quite a while and they are all rusted out on top.  I still flip the lids so the sketchy, flaky, rusty side is inside the jar but haven't had any noticeable issues from this despite shaking the jars, etc

Cool thanks, I was gonna make 400ml glad you said that. I might knock it down and just make 200 I don’t need that much and since it’s one and done probably should just make less

I have been trying to figure out how to take spore prints in my apartment for so long now. I have a 110q SAB and it is too big for taking prints in my closet (maintenance pops in on random occasions to fix shit so I cant have stuff in the open). I can make another smaller sab or use other tubs but the only safe place in my ridiculously small studio to go about printing is in my grow room (3ft x 5ft closet), probably on top of a stack of tubs.  I just literally have no room for them in anything larger than a mini mono and am at a loss for how to do this effectively

I'm not the most sterile printer of caps here, but I've used a shoebox (like shoebox tek shoeboxes) for this with great success, You can do about 6-ish per box, and I do the tented foil and everything.

Thank you so much for the info..!  I was considering something kinda like that but then my paranoid noob side was like "DONT DO IT, ITLL RUIN ALL THE PRINTS YOU GIVE OUT".  Irrational thinking but it was hard to shake.  I'll give that a shot asap

I mean, people take wild prints on paper and those work out  Like I said, not the most sterile print maker here. They work out ok in the long run tho.

:super: yeah I use 5-10mL too, I pour it too, so same thing hard to get it exact but I find with those sip and pour lids I can get pretty even pours. Usually about 15-20 jars to 100mL for me. I usually just sterilize a sip and pour lid, ring and jar and then put it straight in front of my hood after removing from PC and then just pour the amount of LC i'm going to use into that jar...and then it just stays in front of the hood, with the open hole in the lid. If you are working in SAB you can use those  injection ports to plug that hole in between pours

i was having a hard time printing these tiny caps without them drying out. eventually got to using an old fashioned celery crisper with a damp rag in the bottom. i expect larger caps wouldn't need the rag. i must have printed six dozen caps in a couple weeks as my foil technique got a lot more refined.

What caused these shrooms to grow so small and skinny? I feel like they could’ve been bigger. I understand all the fluffy mycelium is from being wet constantly correct? I just need to know what caused this poor flush so I can fix it for next time.

*i would’ve made a new thread but I’ve been asking a lot lately,, should I have made a new thread anyway??

I had the same problem with my last shoe boxes. I think its from being too wet.

I’m not gonna dunk it and hope the second flush does better.
Heavy mist..? Anyone see a problem not dunking when it’s already too wet.

Yeah I'd skip the soak/mist, you don't want to get it overly saturated again. If you need comfort about not misting or soaking, go look at Bod's shoebox tek and look at how dry his subs get and how much they shrink.

I've stopped overmisting/watering and my shoeboxes are loving it and some are going between flushes without needing misting. Neglect FTW!

:awethumb:

It's not neglect, it's called good prep! Shoeboxes should be (with some exception for specific varieties and locations) set-and-forget. If you're doing more after you spawn than just setting it on a shelf, then you need to do a better job of setting it up.

I dryed rather little fruits about 7 hours, all cracker dry and stems didn't bended and cracked . Is it possible to lose about gram in weight?
I re weighted today and end result was 1 gram less than first weighting.
Just curious is it possible dry fruits can loose this weight or I was sloppy . They're all in baggies
Weight of fruits in jar was exactly right

Not all environments are the same. I cant get away with shoeboxes without misting. It's dry af here
