Anyone have a line on a Psychotria Viridis Cutting?

Any advice on how to get some more pins? Very minimal side pins, and only these 3 on the surface. No signs if any new forming from knots either.

Ok, so came home tonight to some nice fat babies in my shoeboxes.. happy with that, but not happy with having WAY more sidepins than actual pins.. i know "surface conditions". So.. my sides still have water droplets on the plastic. is it that they wanted more moisture?  and i'm busy and don't wanna search  feel free to shit on me.. we can make a movie of it.. the germans will love it.

Nein Scheibe!

Could be? kinda hard to say without pics. I would guess the sub shrank giving enough gap to form droplets. It could just be the more humid space between the sub and tub it liked. Usually packing a bit on the sides when setting seems to help this shrinkage before 1st flush ime.

When’s the last time anyone here has done PF tek? Decided to try some Modified Pan Cakes but that shit came out feeling like clay/playdough im guessing it was the BRF. So after that I decided to try and make old normal PF cakes and still felt like dough when I tried to check for field capacity. Maybe that’s the problem I guess you don’t have to check for field capacity just follow the recipe. But I don’t remember them ever feeling like that. But I probably didn’t check back then when it was my first grow or so.

This morning. I would describe it as clumpy, but like clay?

Did you try to put everything together at once and mix? Water and flour makes dough and i know if you don't go in order consistency can be off. Do water & verm first, mix, then add any flour, mix. My guess any way.

If I squeeze it trying to see if it’s at the right moisture content it just molds like dough. I did mix the Verm and water separate same with the poo and Verm then added the BRF last. Crazy I can’t even do pf tek lmao. Shits harder then grains

tiger dropping vs petri wwedge is a different ball game.

petris do have the slight vector of edge contamination if you are not careful. you have to really fuck up to do that with a miniround.

sooooo, with petris,, as a rule i do cut the wwedge out and leave the edges behind:shrug:

too many times ive seen something weird grow from the edge of the wwedge/agar onto the grains. so i stop including the edges.

Hmm. I haven't had any issues yet but maybe I'm getting lucky. I usually try to do transfers before it reaches the edge but if a plate reaches the edge and still looks clean I use all of it. I always cut into wedges for more innoc points but I've never avoided the edges.

LT, it did shrink.. kind of fast too so i thnk you hit it on the head  so. i can't stop the shrinkage.. mist the top more to keep it more humid to match the sides?

Ice, condensation on the side only indicates a higher temp inside than outside the tub and will occur even with a dry substrate... hard to say what you're issue is without a picture

question ; when pc ing grain jars ; you open a little bit your lids ? and if so you open the pc in front of your box or what ?

i've been getting popped mp tape , and i think it's because of the pressure inside the jar for letting the lids tight during the cycle , thought ?

Only if they are single peice. I use my lids rubber side up and have never seen that. Perhaps the hole is too small?

You don't need to open in front of anything if they have cooled in a PC. Just open it up and screw each one before you pick it out. You just got to make sure your PC has been at room temperature for at least a few hours.
