OK, I've read this back and forth a few times. No I don't need to sterilize? Or my 20min at 15psi guess is correct, and no to... Something I don't get?

Agreed! I am not in a hurry and I haven't even fruited yet, but wanted to experiment with it. I have 3 jars of LC going and probably only one will go to grain even if they are all clean. I tested one on agar and so far it's clean and growing, but I also wonder if I simply tested clean parts and missed contams.

Lol, sorry shaper, I was responding to the post before you. The last one on the last page. Yes you need to sterilize. 20m at 15psi is fine

Do yours dry really dense to? For some reason seems like all my PE6 dries really solid(still hollow) and makes good weight for the size.

There solid for sure lol... this latest clone I'm playing with is small/medium fruit, but DAYUMMM! Will be modifying the tub next time in hopes the center will fill in better... going to modify in stages, top holes only first, add bottom holes later if needed... may just find something to store in these tubs and get some more: the center is raised almost/if not an inch... that or do a thicker sub to compensate... may actually try that before making tub mods, as I'm not sure that's not why the center didn't do as well/ was late

TOTALLY!
Same culture one grain (I think?) Or will be soon... I'll expand it and spawn another in the same tub (but a different one: ya know)with a thicker sub

LI probably faster all together, but you can't grow it out to inoculate a ton of jars with it like you could with LC.
My logs tell me LC adds 1-2 weeks to my entire process.
Why do LC then? My LC bottles are smaller than my grain masters, so I can have more in less space on shelves and in the fridge. This year I'm inoculating LC once a quarter, and doing a grow a month. The colonized LC is stored in a fridge until needed. It'll store for much longer too. Also, I really hate doing G2G.

Yeah, PE6 is all around a great cube. Super prolific, great weights, pretty balanced potency. I think they should be the common starter strain, they taught me more about mycology than Golden Teachers, and I feel like those are usually the ones pushed as the "starter" strain for noobs.
PE6 would make noobs feel like gods if they can get over a pretty low "sterile technique" bar. They also would push over 150g+ wet per flush (for 1.5qt spawn shoeboxes) for up to 6 flushes. First flushes were often 350g-ish wet. They're fucking monsters.
I think I still have a couple prints if anyone is in a spot and wants one.

I'm just hoping they are decently potent.. the last 3 strains i grew were so weak 3g's was like 2 hits off a joint.. just a mild buzz.. and 5g was meh..
I blame me as no way did i get 3 different types thet had bad genetics. will see..
Hmm.. now that i think bout it, the only thing all 3 grows had in common was the subtrate.. just straight coir, and the dehydrator.. is it possible to wreck potency while dehydrating?

Chances are you just lost the MS crapshoot. It happens.

My first 3-4 months of learning this hobby I was working off of 6 syringes: 3 B+, 3 GT. Out of ALL my grows from those I couldn't get anything even half as potent as some PE's I'd been gifted (though a bit stronger than you're talking icetek, although once I had a batch of B+ that seemed even worse than your description). I was so frustrated, but I kept pushing through, that's when I found PE6.
I wouldn't say they pack the punch of PE proper, but they were just gorgeous to grow, way fewer problems (I got them from print not syringe so, that too) and when I did have problems it was easy to isolate why (usually crap sterile technique). They taught me I didn't have to wonder if the 3g I was grabbing where good or not, or if I should just grind them all up to balance the potency. They were just all around great shrooms.
I hope the same for you icetek! I've since followed my heart and I grow mainly the weirdest fucking varieties I can, but I don't feel like it's a crap shoot what the fuck I was doing wrong any more. You got this Ice! I've only been growing 10 months now, they were a game changer for me.

You can still lose that crapshoot using agar. Those spores which germinated still have a chance of being shit.
Also, if you want to analyze personal items that could result in resistance in you shoot me a
