Good luck. Maybe you should do a test batch and let it sit to see if it molds on it's own before using.

yeah, i guess. wont know till i try.
i dont have a flow hood, so ill prob skip the petri.
i do have about 6 pf jars ready to spawn. guess i give it a go on those first thing tomorrow.

No idea what the satellite is, i must have moved the lid over the plate, pretty sure the transfer came in opposite of it if memory serves right. Looks like some sort of slime mold

Any tips or input on PC'ing 50 quarts of oats? Ill have (2) 16 quart prestos that fit 6 quarts each but thats like 10 hours of pressure cooking. How would you go about it? break it up between a couple days? look into bags vs jars?

How frequently do you need to do that? Do you have the jars already? How are you hydrating the oats?
I do 24 litres every few weeks, and have it done within a day and an evening - the evening for grain prep, dried overnight, load them all up first thing and start the first cycle of three cycles. If I pushed it, I could be done before dark, but I usually leave the last load in to cool overnight. I it do over the weekend, so prep on Friday evening, sterilization on Saturday and inoculation on Sunday morning.
