RW was stabilized at f7 and f8 prints were sent out to hand chosen peeps by pasty, if you got a print from anyone but pasty it was F9 or further

Thanks shaperdreaming and trypt. Helpful info. Btw I mean 'hybrids' of gt and cambodian, for instance. They call those by a new name. In this case it's 'cambodian gold'. They also sell kits with other such 'hybrids' calling them names like mr x, moby dick, solaris and a couple more. Google is your friend

The one you mention on FSRE is either a mistake, or passing something else off as RW.
The ones from the dutch vendor, personally i think most of those are just new names on existing varieties. But even on the site, he claims they are f1's(from the wild pheno so selfing shows recessed traits) so they should be unstable.
Anyone can put 2 types together and sell off the unstable spores off the f1 wild's. Pasty put in the work & time to stabilize the desired phenotype, little more deserving of being recognized as a new variety imo.

I agree! I think it sucks too. Just needed to understand correctly. So it means that I would need to select fruits with the desired traits for at least three more ms generations before I have a stable one.. yeah I don't think im going to try that
Already have a lot going on at once. This hobby gets out of hand pretty quick! We're now (trying to) grow multiple cube varieties, ps. Mexicana (stones) and pan cyan already.. Hope any of it will be a success at all to have something to select in the first place

i hear you. Got quite a few things on agar now, it builds up fast. 2 different tidal wave genetics that're gonna end up as 3 different grows. 1 without more pe added, 1 with additional pe in the last gen that's gonna be split between selfing and another gen of pe added (incase I mistook the pheno for presence of pe genetics). Oh and an additional tw clone cause it was big. That's just 1 variety

couldn't find my countersink bits and it wasnt going to hold me back. If it really bothers me that much I could always pull em out and go for perfection. Its a biomax 99.99% hepa. I think I read that they use some kind of foam to seal to the frame if thats what you mean.

you can get by with a twist HSS bit the size of the head of the screw, they're tapered at the beginning so it works just as well.

Well damn, didnt even think of that. Thanks! Might as well get on it since I dont have to invest in another countersink set. I'm not the handiest person but I've always tried to have a bunch of tools on hand. Once again thanks for the tip.

What size is that chup? Just ordered 2- 36Γ48 99.99% biomax : found a buyer for the 20Γ24 I've been using the last month or so... had to order 2 for whatever reason: debating whether or not to sell the other... was going to buy a 36Γ60, until I thought to measure my table at 54"... 48 is plenty, and the 60 was $109more a piece I think? Still had to buy 2... also have a 36Γ72, but 500 more than the one i got, and where the hell would I put The one I used, much less an extra! I figure 36" height to make it REAL comfortable for bags...

Sure thing! Just one of my pet peeves, seeing screws that aren't flush or sub-flush. With softwood and deck screws (looks like that might have been what you used, my preference as they're cheaper and more effective than standard "wood screws") it's not needed since it will compress enough without the countersink, but plywood tends to be much more resilient in terms of compression.

It's a 24x24. I kinda wanted to go bigger but I was told 24x24 is plenty. I'm hoping I don't regret it.

That's what I ordered, but they sent 99.99%... or fucked up labeling it... but no contamination from anything to do with the hood... some bacterial issues here and there from slips in technique/prep
I think the 20Γ24 is adequate, and would be better turned 24 tall... but it's tight for spawn bags: im pulling them off the table into a chair, atop a shoebox, so that the bag opening sits mid-flow... will be nice to stand to work, have multiple bags on the table, room for my sealer, jars etc, and essentially an open cieling to work in

BTW, otherwise the construction is quite nice, good job

Interesting, was wondering about putting it 24 high.
