A quick hit to the back of the head with a blackjack or other similar long/hard item should do the trick.. not much to learn there..

I'm a Xenial (I think that's what they're calling it) where I stradle the two generations (x and millennial). Fuck car work, but yeah, I've restored 2 100+ year old houses at this point. I build most of my own furniture (nothing with padding, but shelves and tables and benches) and all my own storage.
I also used to build my own computers from scratch before my phone and tablet kinda took over.
I think I got the best deal here. I understand and use the internet extensively for all my research and projects, and still have the know-how and the gumption to build it all. I also have a great collection of mid-century modern building books that I use for my base designs.
I hate depending on others to do shit right, so now that I live in an apartment I just get pissed that I can't (well, as far as they know) fix my own things, so I have to call people to do it.

I knew I liked you! Props . Same here, built my first computer when I was 15 and will never buy a pre-built desktop again. Here's a collapsible desk I built my girlfriend. The only screws are for the brass hardware. Half and full lap dovetails and mortise and tenon work done by hand. Ambrosia Maple top and sides with Tulip Poplar internals. The color has evened out a lot since these pictures.

To bring my comment somewhere close to on topic:
I feel like being capable in many aspects made it much easier for me to get into mush cult. I love learning how to do things, and how to do them right, and there's a lot to learn in this field. I appreciate all of you for being part of this awesome resource

Depends what it is. No landlord's gonna be upset about you stopping a leak. But there's an issue of responsibility. They're liabal for repairs and you need to give them a chance before diy and sending a bill(rent abatement). And conversely, if you try and fail to fix something without permission, they blame you and charge you for repair.

True that. I'm on good terms with my landlord, and anything minor that needs fixing (new thermostat, toilet flapper etc.) I just attend to and he covers the cost, it's just easier than having him up in my space anyway . Always good to get permission first though

I don't have a lot of pics any more... but I just broke up with/moved out of a condo I renovated from head to toe with my ex. Spent well over 500h on it. Pretty sad to leave it all honestly. The kitchen was my personal love and joy

woof, 2 pages of replies for one clogged pipe, y'all need help. Ahh but i'm just teasing.
Sweet idea about group testing stare. I've seen this idea float around a time or two but it looks like you actually mean to go through with it, which is awesome.

I hope that is still going strong when I start back up in a year or so. I think I could make some worthwhile contributions. I'll be keeping an eye on it either way

Hey guys,
I have a little question regarding the lighting of stacked monotubs. Since stacked monotubs cover each other (ofc not the one on top), it's rather complicated to create lighting from above for all monotubs (except for the the one of top). An easy solution would be (passive?) lighting from the sides. Does this make any sense?
Are there any writeups on proper light setups or grow rooms in general?
Appreciate any answer!
