I am feeling extremely lazy and procrastinating today's work like crazy. Got like 40 jars to inoculate and a couple clones to take and 25 plates that need to be properly wrapped...
I can't wait for spring this cold weather has been going on long enough

Don't let the mold hear you. It might pay you a long and hard visit from the underworld.

We have a similar one to that available here, and looks equally as shit. The next option beyond the two shitty ones are professional-level dehydrators for >$200. The other option is to order online from NA, EU, or Asia. But it'll take as long to ship that as a replacement temp controller that I burnt out. Luckily it helped me discover a faulty breaker.

Oh yeah. That is a bigger deal than a shitty dehydrator. A professional one might be worth it, if you're doing a lot of volume. I love my Excalibur 5 tray. I think they run 200-300 USD new, but I got mine on Craigslist for 50 USD. Anyway, that thing works like a dream.

Got a print in a baggie where the print had been completely rubbed off the foil and onto the inner baggie surface and it gave me an idea for making spore syringes:
I kinda like the idea of making a spore syringe with a baggie smeared with spores. Because baggies are supposedly sterile on the inside when brand new. Just put an unfolded print in a baggie, inject some sterile water into said baggie, close bag, rub the baggie against itself/the foil to rub the spores into the water, and then aspirate the resulting spore solution. You'd use a whole print this way but it could easily be diluted. Yes, I like this idea. Makes it so you never even take the foil out of the bag so fewer chances for contams to land in there too. You could also avoid using a scalpel to scrape spores off of foil which was always my least favourite part of the procedure.
Am I missing something here? Thoughts?
