Is that supposed to be P. cubensis mycelium? Looks a bit whispy for that in my humble opinion. Mine always looks more substantive, on properly prepped WBS at least,
Now if it's another active then I have no experience there

Looks fine, just looks like it's from spore syringe so they are germinating and starting whispy

Right right, I always forget people still do that
Edit for clarity: facepalm directed at myself

<rant> I fucked up the electronics on my main dehydrator. I bought a real cheapo in the meantime while a replacement temp controller is on order. I had to alter it to get it working properly: Moving the bulb holder from the top to the bottom, buffle the vents to reduce air flow to build up temp. Still haven't gotten the internal temp above 35C, so my mushrooms are taking forever to dry properly. They are at the leather dry stage. AND THIS FUCKING POS' SHELVES KEEP ON FUCKING FALLING EVERY TIME YOU LOOK AT THE DAMN THING. Anoying fuck. It would have taken me less time just to put a bulb into my main dehydrator, and let that operate at sub optimal temps, but still warmer this cheap piece of crap.
Now to the point of all this: My SO reckons that is ok, since almost all the mushrooms she has ever had have always been leather dry, and thus chewy. THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Cracker dry mushrooms are much easier to eat than leather dry mushrooms. Cracker dry mushrooms store longer than leather dry mushrooms. I've now proceeded to shit over all my friends who grow but don't dry properly.
How is it acceptable to produce something that could be much better with just a little bit more effort? Especially if you are selling that something!
I've become snob, but for good reasons I hope. </rant>
I have a shoebox-sized one that was built to transport easily, but with just over 100g leather dry shroomies, it is just too small to do its job.
