I used to sleep in contacts until my eye doctor told me could see visible damage. Now I'm pretty good at it and only do so when I'm drunk, which isn't often these days. Don't sleep on your eyes, no pun intended.
Okay, time to go to some inoculating.
Your blood vessels grow to supply sufficient oxygen they however do not get smaller and can occlude your vision eventually. Eyes are one of those ones where you don't feel or notice damage until it's too late.
I know im setting a terrible example being off topic but we're talking about fucking eyes man. Protect them eyes yo. Time to work out my fingers with my Bruce Lee finger weight trainer(on YouTube for real dude was crazy) anyway i like to call it bruce ree but that's racist.
I bet they can shrink em down with some cocaine solution.

I have terrible eyes. One of the reasons I like to take so many pics is so I can zoom in and actually see what I'm doing/growing. Unfortunately I have keratoconus (cornea thins and begins to bulge into a cone-like shape over the years)and the rocks they call (rigid)contacts are a no go for me.
Sucks cause I always thought I was taking care of my eyes,(ate a ton of carrots as a kid, rarely looked directly at the sun )only to have them degrade out of my control from some weird eye disease when I got older.

I feel you. There's only so much you can do about genetics, which I feel is a big factor in vision related happenings. I can't see shit without my glasses. My SO's grandfather has macular degeneration and is effectively blind. Lost his sight in 6 months flat.

I have bad floaters that make looking through a microscope a real pain in the ass. I don't know what they're from but they're always noticeable and sometimes really distracting. Only time they really affect my vision is in bright fluorescent lighting, sun reflecting off snow, and when looking through a scope.
Anyone else have floaters?

Yeah, I just drained it. Once it dries out you think it’s good to go?
Lol, everyone is blowing you off. Yes obviously dry it off more. After I soak I boil for 30 mins to bring up any endospores from the seeds for the PC. All your preference of course. After you dry it and it doesnt stick to your hand or feel moist, load 'er up...
Hes using millet and millet explodes if you boil it. Wbs is majority millet with milo and sunflower seeds.
Thanks guys. Working nights the next few weeks so I was out cold. I ended up slow cooking the WBS for an additional 20 min and have them draining again. @MaryFairchild told me the sunflower seeds don’t provide any nutrition so I removed the majority of them.
Last time I tried I did boil it and the millet turned to mush.

Yeah my floaters are so bad I am much better off taking pictures to look at my floaters make me see too many things that aren't on the slide
(cell phone camera works good if you can steady it)
I really hope this PE tub is actually PE and not mislabeled. I did about 50% straight verm 50% jiffy mix pasteurized casing at full colonization and there isn't a single blob..tons of pins though.....but it seems too good to be true so I'm second guessing myself

I've got PE Melmak swabs if you're interested in a trade. No blobs ever and no casing required.

Hi there all,
Hope you can / will help me out eith this one: I broke up this mycelium kit into little pieces after its third flush and spawned that to coir/straw. While I know that is asking for trouble, I'm very curious to know what is happening here:
This is the new tray with dark brown pins

This is what they looked like when they were still a growkit.
Can anybody shed some light on what's going on here? Is it just bc of the other substrate they are in or is something else at play here?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks! Tweeq

Looks like what is happening is that you are growing mushrooms.
They will lighten up as they grow.
