You would have to try that out for yourself.. I don't know. Maybe yes though. You can try using 1, or 2 mats if that fits with your tub.
What I did was measure the temp everywhere trying different heat setting and different amounts of space between mat and substrate untill we found the sweet spot where both the air and the substrate are between 20 - 24 Celcius.
But take it for what it is:I'm still a total noob myself so..
Can't hurt to try though, just make sure you don't overheat

Seeding mats and heating mats are fail for mushrooms. Never directly heat colonizing substrate or spawn. You can be the noobs that figure it out the hard way or learn from everyone else's mistakes.

Condensation or why? I actually have my jars on top of my weed tent to keep them around 70.. it's only adding a small bit of heat and very gentle, but rather not fuck up again

Prepping some Pennington WBS myco bags for the first time. I let it soak overnight and it has swollen quite a bit, but I wanted to ask you guys if you think itβs ready to bag up for PC.

Haha I like your style and I absolutely intend to. Little bit of air space between the mats and tubs should hopefully test well. If I could fit an oil heater in the cubby/closet I would buuut... not the case. Just need to raise temps 10Β° max in an 18x30x42 inch space.

Lol, everyone is blowing you off. Yes obviously dry it off more. After I soak I boil for 30 mins to bring up any endospores from the seeds for the PC. All your preference of course. After you dry it and it doesnt stick to your hand or feel moist, load 'er up...

Thanks for clarifying that!
I have 12 cm clearance from the mat with the perlite the tray is on. Perhaps that's why I haven't had any troubles yet?

First pins showing.
Not trying to be a smartass or anything bc I'm sure you are 100pct right! I just can't find anything else that will heat up that little closet just a few degrees C.(safely).
Couple more weeks and spring kicks in then they're obsolete

Hes using millet and millet explodes if you boil it. Wbs is majority millet with milo and sunflower seeds.

We are talking about them to heat a cold space, not to place mushrooms on them. I have no intention to put mushrooms on them, likely I'll line the cold walls with them. I don't see how this would be any different from using any heating source at this point (one that doesn't have a fan anyways).

So, I just went through this.... How many are you looking for? Because it seems like mushroom grow bottles only come in packs of 100-1000 minimum. I found none I could order in lower numbers. If you're looking for those numbers you can use a few different sites (Alibaba comes to mind). They're about $0.50 or less each if you want to go that route.
Due to not being able to house even 100 mush-bottles right now I went with Muda's bottle tek recommendation of Zip-lock Twist-n-Lock quart bottles: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21168958/fpart/1/vc/1
These were about $1.25 a piece at a local hardware store (packs of two were $2.69). Muda recommends using them unmodded, with just a slight twist from "tight" (3/4" undone). I plan to start using these soon.
Also, here's a neat page for growing in bottles, with pretty helpful videos and images.
