I rinse mine after I use it to cook up grains. Sometimes it gets a scrub instead of a rinse, depending on the amount of residue left over.
I clean the rim of the pot and the lid every 2 or 3 cycles, and oil the gasket with a bit of silicon oil.

Will this homemade incubator work? Without it the temps get down to the low/mid 50’s.. since the 14th when I inoculated the bags and put them in there the temperature has fluctuated from the mid 50’s up to 83° F... is this ok that the temps fluctuate like that? It only dropped to the mid 50’s one time. I’m hoping everything will work out.. thanks for any response.

Some types of mycelium are actually beneficial. Look into mycorrhizal relationships. Can't speak to what types might be beneficial to cannabis though.

Question.
When taking tissue sample for clones, I find that the tissue sticks to my scaple, and I'm having a hard time getting it off and onto the agar with minimal movement. So obviously I'm doing it wrong. Any tips?

Use a sharp blade and let the blade cool down completely before taking tissue samples

I doubt anyone will identify that mushroom other than as a lbm(little brown mushrooms). There are a lot of little brown mushrooms that looks very similar and generally ignored by people picking edibles.
I haven't used a scalpel in years. I use a hooked dental pick, works like a charm for everything from agar transfers to swabbing spores. I never saw the need for something sharp to carve into the bottom of the agar dish. It's literally a hook, makes it very easy to pick up the agar wedge, and flip it 180 degrees and it falls right off the hook.

I have 2 monotubs that I have just started harvesting. Most of the pins are growing along the edges. Anyone have any guess why? Search didn't come up with much.

So for A2G transfers is it easy for you to take full plates? Or do you do something like the tiger drop?
