Yea I usually do transfers/pour, then leave one open in front while it's still on and then walk away and smoke a bowl, come back and wrap it up.

I left some open for several hours and they all turned out good. Damn good feeling when you know your creation is working as intended. Flowhoods are awesome
Mine is extremely heavy, the 3/4" plywood being the heaviest part for sure, but my 11.5" thick filter with metal housing is pretty damn heavy too.

<woodworker rant> Good plywood is heavy as fuck. There's a substantial density difference between softwood paneling or 1/4" luan and void-free hardwood plywood. Multiply that density difference by the extra thickness </woodworker rant>. Of course, you would probably be fine with lower grade (softwood, construction-grade) plywood, but seems like the wrong place to cut corners.

Yea I used 1/2" plywood and it's still heavy AF lol. Need to make one out of 1/8" titanium or something 😅😅

that's about right. Out of curiosity, why the emphasis on void free material? I get wanting butt joints to be air tight, but shouldn't everything be caulked with silicone anyway?

Not just your post, It's just that in some flowhood teks I see this type of plywood specified. But upon further searching it seems more like a preference thing. Can't fault someone for using the good stuff, it looks better too. As a side-note fuck MDF though, I avoid that shit like the plague unless I'm making woofer enclosures.

Do you think this PE looks ok. This is from Tomentose myc that I was in a hurry with. Its very vigorous and bright.

30 hours after a shake

Doesn't look good at all imo
Could you explain why, for those of us trying to learn please?
It doesn't look like a healthy jar does. Compare to healthy jar pictures. That way you can learn the difference too. The entire mycelium morphology looks off. To me nothing about that jar looks right
It now looks like tis and im thinking about casing it like violet as advised by a guy who grows PE all the time. The myc is still aggressive and im surprised it hasn't farted out yet....
What are your experiences of casing, no casing? Should I wait till 100% to case on this?

FC?
Nah. Just let the mushrooms push the lid. It is a FC, the whole shoebox. I recommend heading over here with your shoebox questions, you'll get better focused responses: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24038695/fpart/1/vc/1

You could line in the inside of the fan box with MDF if sound was an issue. We used to use MDF to make sound dampening fan boxes back in the days of the closet maid grow box.
