It's 20ร24, 600 cfm is an estimate for the blower and is likely cut dramatically by the plenum... and it's done now! Lol, no dimmer needed... low level laminar flow achieved... if it's not enough, I'll start shedding prefilters or popping holes in cardboard to dial it back up... I'd rather not have speed control if I can help it lol
@Asura
Funny thing is, now I have to wait for a reason to use it... may very well pour some plates shortly lol

Yes. Works fine. You can adjust the air intake on them to prevent black shit forming on the underside of your presto

Although, in the manual it specifically says not to use those because it can cause warping/damage. Just go easy with it if you do.

As yesum said, that will work. IMO the bayou is a bit overkill for a 23q PC. I find this to be much better and more efficient on gas. I have a bayou classic and I love it for its raw BTU output but they are gas hogs. I have been solely using my Gas-one all fall and winter and still have about 15 more hours of fuel left. When I was using the bayuo I had to switch tanks in half the amount of runs. I mostly use my bayou now for cooking grains when it's warmer out side and for my WOK when making stir frys. I would say get both, they each have there place and the bayuo is awesome for cook outs when ya want to get 8 gallons boiling in a snap.
The gas-one costs a bit more but tanks of propane are not cheap ether so it pays for itself rather quick.

I agree too. They totally are. Presto works great on a conventional stove top.

Hi guys! Quick question
I got a GH with a homemade ultrasonic humidifier at the bottom, the greenhouse has plenty of hole cut in it for FAE.
I'm about to start growing Panaeolus variety and read they really like the FAE, I have a spare computer fan laying around and was wondering if it would be beneficial to have it either running on very low speed 24/7 or on a timer to increase FAE or just to keep the air in the GH moving around a little?
The fan would not be attached on the outside blowing in, it would be inside the GH to move air around and if Im not mistaking this would hopefully also make air come in and out the holes I have cut with a higher frequency?
Sorry for my english hope you understand the question.
Much love

I am using this one with an intake and exhaust computer fan set up. If fresh air is coming into the greenhouse you will be okay, fresh is the key.

U have any pics? I have little experience with home made GH/pond fogger setups. You could say. How big is the room? More info is needed. I can't see a little computer fan being useful in a room. Maybe a smaller tent kind of thing.

I did GH's for quite some time. I was growing cubes but I left the bottom 2 feet unzipped and it worked out quite well for me. But as previously stated we need more information.

I recently made some shoeboxes with rye berries. The boxes looks pretty dry after about 15 days. I misted heavy, they kept drying out, so I cased them with about 3/16" of coir that was a tad under field capacity. A few days later the top looked very dry and there was some shrinking around the edge with dry looking coir. I bottomed watered for about 30 minutes on those two boxes then drained them well. A third box looked fine, I left it alone. A few days after bottom watering the coir casing dried out, and two days later the surface of the casing got moist again. I misted very lightly, 5 or 6 pumps of very fine spray, just once a day. It seems that moisture came from the sub up to the surface and actually wet out the surface. Mycelium has popped up through the casing in various spots and it was nearly 100% colonized when I cased.
Is this situation where the casing seemingly got watered from below good or bad?
I've never noticed this before, but generally I don't case. I only did so this time because the sub looked so dry. I will note, the third box (the one I didn't bottom water) did this and then pinned two days later. It just caught me off guard, I'm not sure what to think.
Quick edit: i had my coir at what I feel was perfect field capacity, but I built a new grow box in my shop and it took me a while to dial it in which is why I am having some issues.

I'll have to see what I can come up with.
Suffice it to say, it just looks like about 30% of the casing is wet while the rest is dry, but I haven't added significant amounts of water. If for example I set the box on its end, the bottom now vertical, no water will accumulate, pool, or run. So they aren't too wet. There's just some phenomena where the sub is returning moisture to the surface.

I like to use 6g potato flakes, 5g agar, and 1 cup water. I used to use a drop of karo but I find it's easy to accidentally add too much.
