I would boil a little longer first. Then if that doesn't work don't dry them all the way.

I don't know about having an infection with no obvious signs, maybe it's possible to have just enough bacteria to make the mycelium thicken up.
I do know that if you don't spawn your jars immediately after reaching full colonization they seem to get thicker and thicker and eventually end up as a fairly solid block

Give it a shot for science... I wouldn't expect them to perform too well, but maybe the agar just isn't enough

Just got home from work and the caps were looking dry on my AA+ so I lightly misted. As soon as I did the caps and stems bruised wherever the water hit. Never had this happen before. Anything I need to be concerned about?

Was waiting for them to drop their veils. Had to take the second tub off but they’ve only been uncovered for a few hours.

AA+ is good at turning upward and still holding on to the veil IME... have even had to skim them off with a scalpel to print a few choice fruit... the veil is so thin and lacey, it's almost elastic... the big one is ready to print... the others likely by morning IMO
You don't have the lid?

Thanks Caps. The tall one was about 1/4” from the top of the top tub. Took it off so it would have more room to grow.
Here’s the tall boy. Harvested it a couple hours ago:-)

Weighed a little over 19g wet and I’ve already cloned it.

19g? Is that all?! Is it hollow?
Edit: remember you mentioned they'd dried recently... be interested in dry weight

Anyone ever sterilize in the oven? I want to do a big batch of pasty's straw sub in a tub instead of in vitro. But it's mixed with flour so pasteurization is a no-go

My man. Since I've moved to this new place. I haven't bed. Able to grow shit. Not like I usually do. Not even close. I've tightened up every part of my routine and still. Upon further investigation I've come to realize that my water is quite possibly the vector to my issues. This well water is super hard and smells like a egg fart. Doing these up and coming grows with either RO water or bottled spring.
I half assed tested this theory by using distilled water for coir for 4 shoeboxes. And so far so good. Usy I'd be getting mild right now and instead I have pins. :shrugs:

It very well could be your water yesum https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/22550053
I'm pretty sure the pressure in the pc is simply to increase the heat. Pretty sure it's unnecessary to be above ambient pressure as long as the heat is sufficient

if there's water in the sub, it can't get sufficiently hot without increasing pressure. at ambient pressure, 212F is as hot as liquid water gets.

Not to mention ovens transfer heat for shit. You can put a bag of substrate in the oven and come back hours later and it's barely getting to pasteurization temps
