I just like no pours. Iโ€™ve ran my plates atleast dozens of times. They still work fine. But the lids can get messed up sometimes.

That's precisely why I use different containers with Pasty's no pour tek. Those lids need to be stable imo

I've no issues with contamination in the past without wrapping them, thanks though.  If that changes, so will I.

Petri's are cool too.  I have these glad containers on hand, nothing I could do with petri's that I can't just do with these.

Cool, thanks for the tip!  I might be confusing another message board, are you speaking of Nasty Nate?  Nate Dog?  crappy memory.

MushroomNate!:sporedrop::lol:
I grow APE like I grow any other cubensis.
Same spawn ratio,same 1/4" coir top layer,same shoeboxes.(they fit perfect in shoeboxes:awesomenod:)
Thing I have notice most is that they do like a bit more water.
After the pinset comes in I usually bottom water mid flush to help them plump up.
I pop(unlatch) the lids when the piset is in,but I don't remove them.Just leave them laying in place.
Like I said, not really different than I do other varieties.
Hope it helps some.
:goodluck:

So I got a squirrel cage fan from a 2.5 ton hvac unit... it has 3 speeds, but I'm not sure what cfm I'm dealing with... this thing is pretty big; is it too much you think? I can likely put a speed controller on it still can't I?

Shoebox for size reference

Looks like these run typically around 400 CFM per ton, so on high you push 1000. The other wires make the slower speeds.
HVAC Furnace Blower Motor Wire Color Speeds: Color Code, How to Test to Verify Speeds!

If you just put a cheap dimmer type controller it may get hot? I don't know for sure.
I'm watching this cuz I have a similar blower just sitting here.

Word terd, thx!

It's 120v, so a dimmer may work... I can get an actual fanspeed control probably from work... may start buying these out of units these guys swap out for cheap and making/selling flowhoods ... if it works out of course

I got a single, 20x24x6 wood framed HEPA for $126 and some change... I'm cool... anyone know if those are outer dimensions or filter surface area dimensions? Or will  I just have to wait on it to start building?

Pretty sure that's the outer, I'd design but wait.
You could prolly build around a 20x24x1 furnace filter but I'd wait.
