Found a 25qt AA on Craigslist for 200 OBO. Worth texting the guy?
Any of you all on here got a decent PC you'd come off of for a decent price?

Wouldn't call that a good deal. 25$ off retail? Ask for 150 maybe
I paid 250 for a 41.5qt off craigslist. 30$ for new gauge & stopcock so 280$ total when retail is 400.
Good news is they don't loose value, so you won't loose any money if you buy it & take care of it.
Worth it to me to do more with each cycle than I would be able to without a bigger pc

I ended up buying my 931 from Amazon new. I wouldn't have gotten this far without it for sure.

I'm looking at building a low pressure sterilizer or buying the All American 75x, still undecided.. Thinking the low pressure will be the way to go as I'll be able to pasteurize bulk substrate in it at lower temperatures as well..

I'm building one of those right now too. Two 55 gal. drums. Going to run it at 2 PSI.
I'm building it so it can be a water bath pasteurizer for straw and a steam sterilizer for other subs/sawdust/woodchips.

370$ off amazon or eBay currently for me, maybe we aren't in the same country (usa)
Good luck on those projects. Not much to dislike about the x75

so wait, you will have the substrate(staw) submerged for pasteurization in this machine, then only steam for sterilization? I was thinking of using steam for both. Was thinking of making it electric(1500w heater element) and propane fired as well.

That's the plan anyway. I may change things up later. I wanted to at least have the option of water bath pasteurization, not sure if I'm going to be growing on straw yet. It's going to be propane fired.
Eventually I may automate it so it keeps the water level in the boiler at a certain point. I may even put a solenoid valve or stepper motor valve after the propane regulator and a thermistor in the boiler, so I can just press a button and have a microcontroller do a cycle automatically like an autoclave.
Planning on starting a smallish scale mushroom farm eventually.

Just did my last six jars. Did z strain agar on those.
The GT and KSSS are about 5 days to a week ahead of them. So I'll have something starting to flush once the first two are finishing.
Now what do I do? Prepare more jars to inoculate next week? How do I keep a good cycle going?

Also, gypsum.
Something I've never used before. What the hell is it and where do I get it?

Several questions. Is this tray unhealthy? Is this bacteria? Is it just metabolites? Should I toss it? this is grain spawned to 60/40 coir/verm.
