Way too humid for that thing to work here. It has no heating element, it's not much different than a box fan and a screen from my understanding but I might be thinking of a different build?
I did see another build using a space heater, but running a space heater 24/7 freaks me out and I'd worry about the amount of heat being hard to dial in on a space heater.

If I was doing that 20000 grams wet type volume I would purchase one of these www.cabelas.com/product/home-cabin/kitchen-dining/food-dehydrators/pc/104798880/c/104739480/sc/104294880/cabelas-l-commercial-food-dehydrator/2339804.uts?slotId=3
Diy dehydrator are cool, but I like the peace of mind of a store bought legit one
A clear winner! (<--there should be an animation for that)

Ya know what would probably work and be awesome? A smoker.

I overcooked LME LC (20g/L) at 17psi for 40mins and now it's got bits floating in it. Anyone know if it's still good to use?

Yes it's fine. It may be a little carmelized but it will do just fine.

I think heat is almost a necessity here, it's mostly above 70% r.h., and always above 90% in the warmer months. For proper cracker dryness it's definitely needed, or you would need a dehumidifier I am guessing and an enclosed space for drying.
I just saw the cabelas canada website has a 10tray 11ft squared (drying capacity) on for 52% off and the shipping is only $16. I think I'm going to buy that for now. Then upgrade as I need it.
I am ordering another presto too, lol.

only the vessel would be practical. nothing about the mechanics of a smoker would allow you to dry mushrooms.
unless you modified the smoker but then id rather buy a dehydrator

My dehydrator is a giant diy. Used a 1000 watt heater element from a toaster oven, a large box fan, and built large wooden trays with screen bottoms.
The trays stack and the air blows through the element and up through the trays. Can build and add as many trays as my ceiling will allow. Dried over a pound at once in it before.

I was gonna use all my old racks from growing dank(I have at least 4, 4 or 5 tiers each) build a plastic partitioned room 4' x 8, throw in a 60pint dehumidifier, fans and a heater on a thermostat.
Bueno or no? Maybe go to a desiccant box afterwards if not "cracker" dry.

If u do shit like garage sales or whatever. But aquire yourself a old dresser. Take out all the drawers. Knock the bottoms out and replace with screen material. Put the drawers back in. Got a visual yet? Take the very bottom drawer out. And put a box fan in there facing up. No heating element though. Haven't figured out how to safely add a heating element. Haven't really spent time on it though either

oh, forsure. Dehydration = heat+airflow. Im just saying i wouldn't worry about dialing it in. As long as there is some heat and you arent burning the place down then you're good.

why's that? Has all you need. Airflow and heat

I used to have a fan that had a heating element in it and it worked. But it was so costly to run that little fucker. Crazy the amount it jacked up the light bill

Would CV I made 3 days ago still be okay to use? Didn’t think it would take my APE’s so long to recover after shaking so the sub has been in my insulated cooler for the last few days.
