Any idea why these look like this? They look short and dark, plus the veils are breaking early.

I’ve only ever used mp tape and tyvek. I have some I’ve used for months and others that I’ve switched out every few pc cycles or so. I picked up a full suit of it over a year ago and it’s almost all still intact and I used 90% of what’s missing for spawn bags. It works perfectly for me

Well generally we measure by volume, liters & quarts. So take you tub and fill it with water until you reach the desired depth. Now that's how many liters you need

I use an old SGFC to dry grains. I put in a few more holes in the underside to improve drainage. Alternatively, use it for what it was originally intended for: Storing shit.

This sub is in a cake pan with a clear plastic dome lid - made for transporting a cake.. I set a case of jars on top of it and forgot/lost it for a week.
Is this mycelium? Is it starved for air and trying to reach for it? Am I growing snowflakes?

I moved it into the sunlight and its got airflow around it now..

4 weeks and just now getting some good knotting on my PE tubs. Had no idea it would take this long..granted I haven't put casing layers on any of them so I don't know if that would make pinning time any faster or slower.

teladi said: At what quantities, Mateah? It seems dubious to me, but I'm willing to try it out.You guys PC loose, inoculate and then seal until its ready?
I use 2.5dl jars for LI and LC. Don't see the point of bigger jars for my needs, easier to pour as well.
If I'm sterilizing these lids that seal then I loosen for the PC cycle with foil on top and tighten when pressure equlises and I gain access to the jars. But with unmldded grain jars with somewhat warped lids I just screw them on fairly tight and they will never seal during the cycle cause they're practically unable to without the rubber band second part lid.
Lol nice unit. It's a good size.
I don't use foil on those unmodified caps. No need imo, but its just fine as a precaution.
I don't use foil either actually but these caps lock in place after a crazy short twist, and as soon as you untwist them from this lock they're almost falling off the brim cause they're so loose so I keep foil on top mostly to secure the loose lid in place lol
