Im doing about 30 hours a week at the moment.
Just started back up after not doing much in the last few years.
I'm growing out all my actives for fresh prints, got about 15 varieties of cubes on the go and a bunch of wood lover projects on, cyans, azures, allenii and stuntzii and ovid too.
I'm setting up edibles to see if I can't make a little side cash eventually though I'm not expecting much, would be happy if I broke even doing a few market stalls now and then.
Doing 150lb batches of sub at the moment, still working on a grow room and drum sterilizer. They are both functional and in use but can be improved on.
Just fruiting oysters at the moment but have grain spawn ready to expand for 10 or so species of woodlover which I'll be on with soon.
It's pretty hectic, feel like I'm gonna burn out

Cool thread.
What's a good way to test isolates without using a bunch of material? I've think the pf tek sounds great but how can I inoculate them with an agar culture, directly or indirectly? The verm barrier is a problem.
If it's not too thick you can just suck up agar into a syringe. Munchauzen has a tek that involves squirting water onto the plate and sucking that up with fragments of agar.

Yeah don't bother with dry verm if you have filter disks, that shits for unequipped noobs.
I would'nt do BRF cakes myself, complete pain in the ass to make and slow as you can't shake em.
I just make 1 grain jar with a wedge and spawn it at 50% to something easy like coir or straw pellets where you can just dump hot water on them and call it that. For containers I use jars, ice cream tubs, pyrex baking dishes, plastic vegetable trays, anti static bags.. basically the first thing that comes to hand when a jar reaches 100%. Wrap it in pvc food wrap and stab a few holes for GE. If you're testing and comparing isolates then obviously you wanna use something consistent, maybe buy a pack of take away containers or something.
If you're using a filter disk on your brf jars theres no reason why you couldn't move the sub to the side with a flamed scalpel and push a wedge down there.

I say do this anyway, never leave home without a pocket full of ps. cyan woodchip and bury a handful in any public mulch bed you pass.
