Atmospheric gas mixes for FAE

I've read a few articles of people asking if pure O2 or nitrox would be beneficial to use for FAE exchange and from what I've gathered it really isn't. I also know that air saturated in CO2 will cause increased vertical growth, to an extent. My question is has anyone experimented with intervals of enrichment with the main atmospheric gases oxygen, nitrogen, argon and carbon dioxide? Maybe there's some mixture or enrichment cycle that would have substantial results, enough so to make the extra cost worth it? Just food for thought.

This on my opinion isn't worth the trouble. Mushrooms grow in nature just the way they are for a reason. Because they like the conditions. Try to improve those natural conditions and you'll probably just end up with failure and a lighter wallet.
We improve upon nature with an SGFC or Monotubs and a secluded chamber where they can thrive. That's all that really needs to be done!

With plants adding co2 will make them grow bigger and in greenhouses its cost effective to use co2 generators. With mushrooms adding oxygen will benefit their growth but it's not cost effective. Mushrooms are grown around the world as a food crop there are quite a few web pages and utube videos that show the most cost effective way of growing. FYI Pasteurised straw mixture in plastic bags using grain spawn hung from the ceiling is the most common system for small commercial food operations.

But anyways, I'm quite sure he's referring to pumping air from concentrated air tanks to create a custom air mixture. Is that what you meant, Burnout?

I kinda figured as much, like I said just food for thought. By no means am I planning on buying cylinders of gas to experiment with, not only do I not have even a pf set up going (or the cash to blow on supplies) but in order for me to experiment with something like this (by my standards) I'd need a room in which I could control and monitor absolutely every environmental factor.
That's exactly what I'm talking about Dankington.
