He followed RR and others instructions to use wax paper to put on casings and everything was looking good. But after 2 days as the pins start coming it also looks extra fuzzy now and not really good. This is on 3 of my casings that looked healthy before. I am not new to this and have never seen it look this way before. I was still lifting them off to fan but do you guys think it was overkill And the greenhouse did not need the extra help? Thanks guys

After researching a little more it seems like it is just healthy cottony mycelium..hopefully. I am used to seeing more rizomorphic. I thought the wax paper would be great to use before the first flush.

Old info for sure. Wax paper will get soggy and you have to change it. Which kind of goes against the purpose of retaining moisture on the sub. You actually loose moisture by using wax paper and opening the lid to change it.

only reason to use a wax paper is to promote knotting/pinning in a very dry climate. monotubs arent usually dry climates. after pinset is starting you wanna remove the WP obviously.

This is in an large greenhouse. I figured it wouldn't hurt to try.

Fix the greenhouse not the pinning strategy
