Your top 3 books?
    #23522113 - 08/08/16 02:17 PM (7 years, 5 months ago)

I got really interested into literature as a means to get a broader view of life, existence and the universe. Carl Sagan sums it up perfectly:

โ€œWhat an astonishing thing a book is. It's a flat object made from a tree with flexible parts on which are imprinted lots of funny dark squiggles. But one glance at it and you're inside the mind of another person, maybe somebody dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, an author is speaking clearly and silently inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people who never knew each other, citizens of distant epochs. Books break the shackles of time. A book is proof that humans are capable of working magic."

So without further to do, here are my top 3:

The book on the taboo against knowing who you are - Alan Watts
Cosmic Trigger : The final secret of the illuminati - Robert Anton Wilson
Be Here Now - Ram Dass

I'd love to hear your suggestions and ready to dive in your profound earth-shattering books. So throw in your top 3 and share the love! (Occult and esoteric material are most welcome).

The war against the Chtorr. Its a sci-fi series that nobody knows about and it fucking nails the genre. Theres concepts in there you would've never thought about and the writing is phenomenal. Theres 4 of them, and theyre moderately hard to track down, but if I was gonna recommend anyone something to read, those would be the books.

Read mine first dammit :kingcrankey:

Half these recommendations look like they were taking from a fucking high-schools recommended reading list. The rest looks like hippydippy bullshit designed to cripple your mental acuity.
