Help with contam ID

Ok so im working on my second attempt at the mono.I pasteurized 100% straw bulk sub(probably should have cut it a bit smaller)in a bucket of water kept at 150-165degrees for 60mins. I noc'd the tub with 1quart a 2 pints of WBS which allseemed to be contam free and looking good. I seem to keep getting the same dust-like haze on small sections on top of my 100% straw bulk sub. Ive read Kizzle's sub-thread on contams, but i still cant seem to point my finger on exactly what this is or how i keep getting it.
The tub is in a back room that can fluctuate in temp. But it never falls below 70 and never above 83 If anyone recognizes this contam can you please shed some info?
Also tips on avoiding this problem in the future. Ive done some research but everything rofelevance is pretty out dated just looking for some helpful advise. Thanks guys!!

Never done a straw sub, but just guessing, try a higher spawn ratio and chopping the straw into small peices 1-2" would help.

Small pieces and you have to weigh down the sub somehow
Generally the ID is contamination either mold or bacteria. That's mold. No one really cares exactly what it is , well maybe you do. But if you have mold something is done wrong that can be fixed.

I see, and what would you be refering to? sterile technique?

Use a higher spawn ratio so that the myc will have a better chance at getting to the straw before the mold does. Cut the straw to small sizes as well to make it easier.
As help with ID you should look into Botrytis, see if it fits the mold you're experiecing

could be your inoculants, your spawn, improper pasteurization of straw. you also could be having problems with the colonization times since you have big pieces of straw and didn't weigh it down
