Question on monotub spawn / substrate mixture / depth

I think I bought a monotub that is too big. I have a 33 qt. because it's the smallest they had that wasn't clear - I don't like clear now as a personal preference.
Due to a fallout with a buddy I only have a little over 1 quart of B+ spawn. I mixed this in with a 1/2 recipe of Damions 50/50 coir / verm tek with added 5% gypsum diluted to the boiling water before pouring it in. I then properly pasteurize this (instead of letting it sit in a bucket) in the oven at 175 degrees for 3 hours.
So with all of that being said, my total substrate depth (spawn and casing) is right around 2 inches high. Should I add more coir / verm to be safe? I have heard that 3-6 inches is preferable, with most people doing it at 4 inches.
I am wondering if having less spawn than casing would negatively affect things. I have heard bits and pieces about spawn being nutritious and casing being just a supportive non-nutritious layer. But having grown up on BRF cakes, most of that cake is already vermiculite anyway.
Anything helps

Shallow isn't a problem just need to maintain moisture content thru fruiting.
Bucket TEK or sterilization of coir >>>>>>> pasteurization >>>>>> oven pasteurization

If I add more casing to the mix will I:
1. Fail by messing up altogether 2. Fail by getting less quantity or smaller fruits 3. Succeed by getting more or larger fruits

4. Who knows. Ask a magic 8 ball.
You don't add more casing casing is 1/8-1/2 thick layer over your bulk substrate.
Mix bulk substrate and spawn evenly. Casing is completely optional with cubes. They do not need a casing

Alright - I have an extra 1/4 recipe of D's coir tek casing pasteurizing now.
Hoping for the best! I did manage to clone 6 other WBS quart jars with the B+ but those will take a while before it's worth mentioning here.
If anyone has any feedback regarding spawn nutrition vs casing nutrition, I would be interested to hear
Thanks again for the feedback
