Sorry, not me, but I just looked it up and it seems too restrictive to keep up long term for anyone who loves food like me. I'd rather just eat whatever, exercise, and fast once every couple weeks or so
Could you not just drink water with the right amount of baking soda throughout the day and get similar benefits?

I read that the body is unaffected by eating ot drinking alkaline things.
Theres some quacks that think you can cure cancer by drinking a bunch of baking soda, but there's a bunch of people who seem to have debunked thus myth

So you think we could just eat fried dough forever and be cool?

From the studies I've been reading, and the lectures I've been listening to, a lot of illnesses thrive in a acidity environment. By intaking lots of acid foods, sugars, and starches, we're forming a micro-climate inside ourselves for foreign bacteria and viruses to thrive.
Supposedly the reason our blood is red is because the iron that the red blood cells carry is actively being oxidized and rusting. So by intaking red meat or foreign blood, we're basically just forcing our bodies to do additional work.
My mother had to recently get a large percentage of her intensines removed due to something growing inside her. Her body no longer can process intaking any meat whatsoever. It's kind of my hopes that by directing her to a more alkaline lifestyle that she can continue to live her life without illness for many years to come.

Yeah I mean I dont see why not, as long as you're getting all macro and micro nutrients from other foods

You should do it. Set it up documentary style. Only eat rice or dough, and take a multivitamin everyday. Let's see what happens.

What is it that an alkaline diet is attempting to change? The pH of human blood has to remain really stable, or it causes problems. On the other hand, the stomach remains highly acidic.
I'm curious if there are any actual data supporting the benefits of an alkaline diet.

Was thinking more like fruits, veggies, and nuts, maybe herbs and mushrooms.

I also read that multi vitamins aren't great for you but I dont know for sure.
I'd think they're bad cause you probably get excess of certain fat soluble vitamins which can become toxic, and taking straight vitamins to the dome doesn't sound good to me.

From what I've gathered from research is what badsad said. In petre dishes, cancer cells die in alkaline environments, but the body is highly buffered from changes in pH and really difficult to change, and alkylosis is bad too if you do manage to adjust your pH.

Your body wasn't meant to handle 100% daily value of anything in one sitting. If kids get ahold of adult formula multi-vitamins you're supposed to get ahold of poison control or get their stomach pumped at the doctor.

Yea, my point is you can't live off an acidic diet, which is comprised of most everything except for fruits and veggies. We all eat a somewhat alkaline diet.

You can test the ph of your urine. The water here is about an 8ph. I drink lot's of acid drinks like coffee and beer.
I think the data is far to loose to claim a low ph body causes cancer.

Most fruits are more acidic than meat, dough and cheese, so that seems wrong. Lots of healthy foods are slightly acidic. Our stomach levels the PH of what we eat generally.

I heard that citrus fruits break down to alkaline inside your system.

It's bunk, and anyone else that tells you otherwise is a retard. Your kidneys and lungs regulate the pH of your blood - your lungs at a quicker rate than your kidneys.

You're retarded... They may regulate PH but obviously the more alkaline things you consume, the more alkaline your PH.
The pH of what? Your blood, interstitial fluid, urine, what liquid are you referring to?
Everything you eat or drink hits the highly acidic stomach, then to the slightly acidic intestine.
