Rhizomorphic and cottony mycelium differences

After a few failed attempts and trying to clean a contaminated fruit body, im left wondering what i did wrong if i did anything wrong..
Had a tub that had a green patch at far end but was still fruiting, so i decided to try and take a fruit splice it and then transfer to agar, well i did but ended up with this rhizomorphic ropey looking growth at the very very edge of the culture, the rest of the culture had a cottony fuzz on top of it almost like cobweb but wasnt grayish or as bad as some cobweb molds i have seen on this site.. Im wondering if that is normal? I dont believe it is because i transfered that same culture 4 times to try and get rid of it but you litteraly had to go threw the cottony to get to the good ropey rhizomorphic growth.. Now i have this tub with half white fuzzy balls that are tight and the rest looks like rope but its been 4 weeks and no pins, also has a foul odor, but whats funny is i kept g2g transfering and it looks better but i still have no hope of a fruit, so i decided to make a new agar culture from a syringe to agar
What should i do if the same cottony looking growth pops up? Is it just humid? Or am i wasting time with a contaminated culture and possibly contaminated syringe?
Plz and thank you

So far every time I have put a slice of a fruit on agar, it has been cottony.

Cottony growth is just as good as rhizomorphic growth. You have no idea how it performs until you fruit it. Rhizomorphic mycelium doesn't magically mean it's somehow better
Noobs are the only ones worried about rhizomorphic growth. I don't know why they only find old ass threads that say that shit but not any new threads that say tomentose vs rhizomorphic growth is largely based on environment and cultures switch between growing rhizo or tomentose regularly

Tomentose isnt much different from rizmorphic mycelium. The branches are just much more bunched up. Generally because it doesn't need to stretch to get its needed nutrients. If you look closely it still has strands of mycelium. They're just more fine.

And thats why i ask questions lmao, all the post i search are old.
Well that gives reassurance
I believe its genetics now. First tub hasn't pinned in over 4 weeks 2 weeks colonizing another 2 fruiting :/ all its got is this sweet sour smell, but my ass continued the g2g from the same culture and mixed another tub, this second tub has colonized in a week and hopefully woll start to pin when i add FAE,
So of course i g2g the same culture and this transfer looks great ultra white and super tight, colonizing the jars fast too..
