In what way shrooms have changed you?

I'm more happy, less dependent on other people, I appreciate things more, dig my parents a whole bunch more, view relationships in a more healthy way and I quit smoking (can't really tell if this one's a direct result, tho).
In what way shrooms have helped you?

Ever since I've tried Lsd, shrooms and MXE
They have made me overall a much happier person, they were and are so therapeutic to me with the love and magic that they can help you see and feel.
They made me much more grateful, thoughtful appreciative and loving, although I've always been a happy soul deep down, but I had a rough n lot childhood n adolescence
They made me accept things for what they are including myself
They personally helped me accept my homosexuality, they helped me let go anxiety of any kind and truly changed me permanently for the better.
I think these drugs are true magic, along with life
Psychedelics and dissociative shaman here

Havn't gotten into them really but DMT sure had a big impact on me, and it's structurally very similar to Psylocibin. It showed me the pure power of the human spirit, and the endless possibiltys I have with my life. It really motivated me in the longterm to build healthy habits and work on my lifestyle. I also quit doing pot, alcohol and cigs for the most part.

Psychedelics help me mentally every time I take them. I don't think they have changed me, I think psychedelics ARE my change. It's ongoing. It has no end.

I've done way too many drugs to associate the changes they've brought about in me to Shrooms alone. I was on 2C-T-7 the night I first learned to love myself, which is THE biggest breakthrough I've ever had. You never know when stuff it gonna get ya, as per the +4 description on the Shulgin scale:
Quote:
PLUS FOUR (++++) A rare and precious transcendental state, which has been called a 'peak experience', a 'religious experience,' 'divine transformation,' a 'state of Samadhi' and many other names in other cultures. It is not connected to the +1, +2, and +3 of the measuring of a drug's intensity. It is a state of bliss, a participation mystique, a connectedness with both the interior and exterior universes, which has come about after the ingestion of a psychedelic drug, but which is not necessarily repeatable with a subsequent ingestion of that same drug. If a drug (or technique or process) were ever to be discovered which would consistently produce a plus four experience in all human beings, it is conceivable that it would signal the ultimate evolution, and perhaps the end of, the human experiment.
Source.
I attribute so much of how I've shaped myself in this life to my experiences with drugs. Nothing has ever been there for me the way they have. No single thing has been cause for so much happiness, good times, insight, laughter, magic, beauty, openness and connection (other than people).
They're my companion, my soulmate and my guide.
Well, the psychedelics at least. The hard stims, opiates & alcohol offer none of that, but they're a good place to drown my sorrows when I need to.

It made me keep looking at this stupid (semistupid) website, for 2 years after a learned everything I needed to know 2 years ago from RR and a couple a couple other trusted cultivators. It get's stupidly addictive just like facebook. I can't wait till the election is over. Then the Republicans are just going to whine for 8 more years just like they will for the rest of my life. I kinda miss Zappa. He would attack me viciously, but if I waited 2 days and put up a baseball post or something he would respond completely normally. Once, I put up a political post, nothing ideological, just survey research, which I was very well trained in at the graduate level and worked professional at. He called me a troll, which no one ever has, despite the fact that he got called that every day. And to dispute my demographic arguments of the GOP. and why they can't probably win now or probably for 30 years, He responded "Non Whore woman " vote republican. the urge to put that in my signature attributed to him for a couple years was huge and he deserved it. But he always Forgave anything he had against me in 48 hours so, I had to treat him like some of my crazy friends that are fine later. He was intelligent an could be a complete asshole, but I miss him.

I believe psychedelics have helped me accept the things I cannot change in my life, and to try to see the beauty in the simple things in life, which is a huge stress reliever if you think about it.

Great LSD in combination with a high dose of 2C-B gave me the most visually stunning experience ever. It can be so intricately beautiful and colourful. Really puts me in touch with the inherent beauty of life.

Shit mushrooms have done a TON for me and it's not just from the tripping part either. Actually cultivating them from scratch was a bit of a boost to the confidence because imo it isn't something anyone can do. The vocabulary and things I have learned have a lot of crossover in other fields from agar work to understanding contaminants and etc. mushrooms have been very educational. Even friendship wise, I think I could probably contact a handful of members here and crash on their couch if I needed to because I'd do the same for others and that's only because of magic mushrooms. One of my favorite things is some of the people I have become friends with here I have never seen their faces which is humorous.
For the tripping side of them, I believe they have made me more patient, empathetic, open, and loving. My last trip I had visions of my family and how I don't let them know I love them enough and I could be dead tomorrow and etc. Has made me confront things or just see things in a different light and like I said, empathetic.
When I first experienced ego death(something I did not know could happen prior to experiencing it) I had to put the whole universe back together in my head, completely felt like the slate was wiped clean and as I came back to reality it was a wild experience. Never foget dat shit. I didn't know what I was looking at in my vision, then I realized it was the fucking moon, then I realized I was a human, I had a name, I grew up in America and so it went, both scary and enlightening at the time.
Mushrooms took on so much more than just some hallucinogenic fungus, it really ingrained itself in me and I love the culture, people, effects of the drug and etc. Just look what happens when a member here dies, we grieve. I know a lot of people would think we're fuckin losers for that, we're just posting on a message board right? Shit... mushrooms changed my life.
