So how much could one sell ghost peppers for to a restaurant? Just wondering if it'd actually be worth it or just give away most like always

But i agree, hot food tastes best for sure.
Yeah I'm part Korean. There's this spicy tofu soup that we eat called sun dubu, it comes out boiling in a clay pot and we eat it while it's still boiling. We actually crack raw eggs in the soup just before we eat it, and the heat poaches the eggs as we're eating it.

Wow holy crap!!! Apparently 2lbs online sell for $80, 2oz sells for $11 off Amazon, that's not including shipping or anything.
That's pretty good, if Burke can grow enough he can definitely make a couple hundred off it.

I don't get it, how did eating boiling soup ever catch on? Cuz I'm pretty sure most humans get blisters while eating boiling soups..unless whatever is in it happens to bring the boiling point way down?

Well, of course you blow on the spoon before you put it in your mouth. And eventually the soup stops boiling after a minute or two of coming out, and starts cooling down. After you have eaten about a quarter of it, it has cooled down enough so you don't have to blow on it anymore. You also inhale some air while putting a hot spoon in your mouth to cool down the food at the same time you chew.
Sophie has got it on the mark. You have to understand, that refrigeration is a new concept until recently, and part of the reason a lot of cultures and societies created fermented, dried, spicy, or boiled food was to make the food safe to eat.

Well yeah I know it's good at making some food safer to eat, it's just the way I read it made it seem like the stuff is bubbling hot while you're eating it. Cooling it down right after it boiling isn't too different from how a lot of people already eat their soups so I just took it too literally I guess

It is boiling hot when you eat it. At least when it first comes out, the entire clay pot is heated over a flame or a stove, so the pot is still very hot, and that is why the soup is still boiling when it comes out for about 2 minutes or so.
You don't cool it intentionally with ice or anything, it just naturally happens after some time passes.

Omg I'd give anything to try that in the traditonal way it is prepared. That sounds and looks soooo good
Fuck I love spicy food. I enjoy East Indian cuisine a lot but the Thai use such delicious spices. I love going to Thai restaurants

In my opinion spicy Thai food is much better than spicy Korean food. Spicy Indian food I'd say is around the same as spicy Korean.
If you do see it as a Korean place it will be called sun dubu or sun tofu. Make sure you get it extra spicy if you prefer spicy.
Personally, I'd prefer getting a bowl of naeng myeon or grilled karubi over that though, provided it's a place that does it right.

When I was living in CA my roommate collected hot sauce, he was half Mexican, cool dude, anyway he bought on in Reno called Toxins hot sauce.
We got really stoned and dared each other to try a little bit, shit was insanity, so hot it was disabling.

There's a new store downtown that specializes in insane hot sauces. Habanera all the way to Carolina reaper. I'm definitely gonna visit that place and buy something to make eating food absolute torture.

Carolina reaper is the hottest pepper in the world correct?
I would very much like some reaper genetics to add to my pepper collection, it's kind of a hobby of mine, growing peppers are fun.

Ghoust pepper? uh uh. I know Asante would be all over that sauce up his bum. Crazy mofo.
But i do admire the challenge, of who can handle that much heat. I might try the challenge if i was in a brave enough mood....
my daughter and I went to buffalos cafe, she ordered the hottest wings they had, after she ate them and the waitress came back around she asked if they had anything hotter and the waitress said they had a ghost pepper sauce, of course my daughter asked for it and the waitress warned her, that people cry and puke when they eat it, my daughter insisted so the waitress brought a little out with a small handful of fries so she could taste it, she dipped a fry in the sauce, ate it. dipped a few more in, I dipped a few, and ate them. my daughter finished them off with the sauce and the waitress was watching the whole time. amazed that the little freak could eat the shit.
the stuff was pretty hot but I dont know about puking and crying hot

Jesus how old is your daughter?? She didn't have the shits or anything the next day? I'm surprised she didn't die in her sleep, I would have probably parked next to the hospital and made her sleep in the car that night just to be safe.

she's 11, she's a badass.
damn near every meal she'd eat the Huy Fong chili/garlic sauce, it's like the sriracha only it's not ketchup, it's straight chili paste and a little garlic for flavor. it has a little bite
