He was probably mentally ill from what OP described. He literally could go to the nuthouse because of this. Wtf is wrong with you. "Putting urself in their shoes" is not applicable in this situation. Everyone took Alex's head off for giving dxm to a homeless person. Honestly I think this is worse.
You may ask "wouldn't you want psychedelics if you were homeless" well sure but I like psychedelics and have no mental illnesses that would make tripping unpleasant.

Yeah honestly it is. Pretty clear the homeless guy receiving these mushrooms had absolutely no clue what he was about to be getting himself into.
And that's bad news for anybody...not to mention it being a frigging homeless guy. That's about damn near the worst set & setting ever. I don't care how used he is to being on the streets.
Wandering around the city in mid summer heat and losing your fucking mind for 6 -ish hours, and not knowing why...not a good recipe.

This whole thread is hilarious. Dude probably ate the whole bag and either ended up in heaven or hell who knows it's a roll of the dice.
All I know is op must keep us posted and the homeless guy has to write a trip report. Heck hopefully he had an epiphany and straightened up his act , this is very interesting honestly.
reminds me of the time my buddys took like 8 Hawaiin baby wood rose and gave it to a homeless guy.
I never asked them what happened to him lol.
Hopefully op didn't land this guy in a mental ward or prison cause that's fucked up. But maybe it will benefit him, who knows.
my bet is you're not gonna see this guy again , 5-6 grams of mushrooms ... tThis guy could be anywhere lmaooo

bad news written all over it for sure.
A crazy homeless guy threw a fucking telephone pole onto the freeway around where I lived which killed some dude on his way home from work.
I always see the homeless people running around like such lunatics here im surprised more people arent getting killed all the time.
I'm sorry but that shit had me rolling. How in the FUCK does a human throw a telephone pole! Scientists should be studying that man

But yeah seriously, I'm also very surprised there aren't more crazy/homeless---->normie altercations.
Ps just crossed out the bad news bit bc I wanted to focus on a man lifting and throwing a telephone pole
Dude he should be done experiments on. I think youre onto something... i mean did he uproot the telephone pole himself? Was it in concrete or soil? Either way that's crazy.
Imagine a homemade reality TV show of feeding homeless people mushrooms and lsd , would be quite trippy lmaooo.

In alot of ways it could be a way of life to them in the sense of anti establishment and whatever. Either way I used to trip with them or get fucked up and have great times. Who knows he probably had a good time, some punk rock lookin kid he was probably just drunk or something. I dont know tho, maybe he will go nuts and punch a cop? Either way I probably would have gave him some shrooms or buds too hahaha At the same time I would atleast get a good idea of the person before doing so.
Lifestyle choice huh? Sure why not?
Personally i would argue that if you think living in filth and squalor is a viable lifestyle choice, that alone is a red flag for mental issues.

haha they think they are so tough and then they get their ass whooped by a drug. In highschool my friend sold these dumb kids shrooms and apperently one of them (who thought he was the shit) took a .5 and cried.

Likewise. Have tried to introduce one of my best friends who was raised in that environment to psyche's, and aside of mescaline, which is such a 'sober' high anyway, he never fared well on the journey.
Would love to know WTF the correlation is between coming from that background and not being able to handle reality going away for a bit...

probably some difficulty letting go of the ego because you were raised in an environment where you can never let down your mental barriers or let your guard down, for the fear of being vulnerable

It has to do with how much one is used to questioning one's own thoughts, I think. If you come from an educated background, you're more likely to have questioned your thoughts as a result of that education. If you are from an uneducated background, a psychedelic experience may well be the first time in your life you've ever been forced to question whatever mental constructs that you've always taken for granted. Also like ergotic said fear of being vulnerable.
