does anyone get a clean clone tissue from the first transfer?

Sometimes it takes me two three and even four times till I get clean growth but I don't know if what I have in my agar is yeast I was using a pretty rich mea recipe 30 malt 20 agar with 1000 mils water so I cut it down but some of my clones are still on the rich shit so I think I'm transferring yeast this is the best pic I can get without taking off the lid but it's cloudy and one of my plates smelled like fermented malt

I would say that for me, about 75% of the time a clone is clean right off the bat. I transfer at least once to be sure. With cloning I usually see bacteria, probably from sloppy work. Depending on species this will change.

I edited the op with a pic pasty but most of mine are pe clones and I use a hood and flame my blade cut the stem in half and get a sample then place it on the agar but do you think it could be a yeast from the rich malt??

No I doubt it's yeast from the malt. Yeast is usually white or yellowish and cannot survive a PC cycle. Yeast from your hands maybe. I find yeast to usually be traced back to the cultivator as the vector.

Yeast floats around in the air. It's on everything

Yes but it's not floating in a SAB and if it is, is cultivator error.

I PC for 45 minutes and always use my hood with flame ... when I do the clone I woke down with 70% and take from the inside of the stem and have never got a clean first transfer ? Should I build a sab for agar work?

You need to tighten up procedure. If your hood is proven, then it's your movements. Test your hood by opening a plate for 5 seconds in front and see if anything grows. But bacteria like that from cloning on a consistent basis is pointing to sloppy technique.

OK I'll do that today I hardly ever get it with MS transfers but I had some pins growing on a plate and they had some of that but my ms transfers were good and some clone transfers were good and I pretty much do the same procedure I'm not always smooth sometimes I'm a bit shaky so I'll try and work on movement

You are messing up right from the jump... Tear your donor fruit in half by hand, that way your scalpel doesn't drag all the nasties from the outside of the mushroom into the clean inside where you are getting your clone tissue from...

OK that makes sense I guess I figured since I wiped with ISO I was safe but I'll try that next time thanks you guys I appreciate it I just opened a plate to see if my hood is good I think it should be ... I just wasn't sure if maybe since I had so much yeast in the recipe I was getting shit from that cause like I said my pda never did that but thanks for the help

Iso kills 99.99 percent of bacteria. So if there were 1 billion bacteria rods on that fruit to start with after wiping it you are down to 10 million left. Pretty easy for one of those to get pushed into the plate if you cut the fruit at that point. Bacteria travels by contact, hitching rides is how it moves. Less contact the better.

I understand I mean I know alot of shit is on me and with everything going on its easy to be lazy at times or cut corner I should say but it just leads to headaches, but too be honest I much rather have so much failure now and work out all the kinks rather then having success once or twice and thinking I have it down then my luck runs out ... I've noticed every step for me there has been hurdles and it took me to study everything I can to better it so I'm getting to that point where I should be getting some good flushes atleast I hope .. thanks you guys

OK so I cut a square out and transferred some contaminated tissue and sandwiched it but my agar wasn't very thick on sandwiching should I make the agar like a 1/4-1/2 " ? I did warm pours before but that's a pain
