What would happen if your sub got FAE before colonizing?

Lets say you were doing an invitro grow with some grains and some bulk sub in a jar, and after innoculating an agar wedge you put a full SFD on the lid (in sterile conditions, so lets assume no contamination). This would essential allow for a lot of air to pass into the jar simulating FAE conditions...
Question is, would the whole jar colonize before it began to fruit?
I suppose this could apply to any type of mushroom, I'm just asking in general.

It would colonize very slowly, and when reaching peak nutrients most likely attempt to fruit. Most likly resulting in weak fruits, bad BE and a massive mess.
----
If I make an example of yeast, although different, if grown in oxygen produces little alcohol. We know to colonize correctly it needs CO2, same for colonizing fruiting strains.
They require conditions to convert and utilize nutrients.
----
You would never get FAE in the ground or in a tree. FAE for colonizing is the opposite.

I prepared one of my recent tubs to hasty and actually forgot to tape off the holes. I just put polyfil in and said fuck it. I decided to do two more tubs this way as an experiment. 1 out of 3 tubs is doing alright. I highly recommend that you allow it colonize before introducing it into fruiting conditions. The fruit I have on the only tub that is somewhat thriving is rather small, and there are certainly less pins than I should be getting if done properly. Now a 2nd tub has started pinning, though parts of the substrate are not fully colonized. The pin set looks fuller, but there is a lot of room for contamination here. I deem this 2nd tub a failure indefinitely. However, the third tub has definitely contaminated. There is a grey stringy web-like mold growing across the substrate. The healthy Myc is only slightly visible. This tub is in line to be disposed. In this experiment I learned that contamination is a high risk in these situations. Also, I believe it negatively impacts healthy pinning.

they begin to fruit when stressed - fresh air, humidity, and water all cause stress on mycelium to form fruit bodies. adding stress to mycelium that has not finished colonizing, as Maximillion said "...negatively impacts healthy pinning" which as Ferather stated is"...good info."
