I find the hate in the Pub really a low point in my Shroomery day. we have such a wonderful site and people for whatever reason find the need to be a bunch of hateful degenerates on it.
We know that you guys arent complete jerks but you sure try to convince us otherwise.
Sometimes I think whether we should just close The Pub and be done with it. Place is worse than OTD sometimes.
We all got to stand up and fight the intolerance in The Pub in our own ways.
Within the rules of course.
Maybe we need some heavy handed modding in the Pub in the style of the late Bud Spencer.
Absolutely no racism in The Pub guys, and no fucking transphobia either.
We mean business even if we dont always enforce it.
Keep the Pub tidy please.

"BLACK LIVES MATTER. A WHOLE LOT."
All lives matter a whole lot, why make it about race?
"They are entitled to their hurt and upset"
Over what exactly?
"Lets not be jerks about this"
You mean trying to turn social economic problems that affect all people into something about racism? Then I agree.

Black lives matter means that all lives matter, but that black lives matter as much as white lives.

The bullshit of racism. You sometimes make racoist posts, I'm sure you dont see it because you are part of the problem. There is a lot of racist BS towards all races, but against some more than others.
Lets not be jerks about this.
Black people are fucking fed up of being treated like n*ggers and keeping to be cast in a bad light because of the trespasses of some of them.

"cast in a bad light"
This could be said for many demographics, young males get cast in bad light, so do old people, so do Muslims, so do Christians, so do people in poverty, so do single mothers, so do homosexuals, so do transsexuals, so do straight white males.
Yet despite this "black people are fucking fed up of being treated like n*ggers" we have black cops, judges, DA's, corporate executives, business owners, attorneys, doctors, military generals, Congressmen, attorney generals, and US President.

you're right but dont just assume that all blacks are racists, the majority are pretty decent people, folks that go out, work hard and make an honest living, they arent like the young and even middle age urban thugs who love to blame the white people for all of their own failings. maybe one day those people will shed their racist tendencies and realize that when they stop bitching about shit that's their own fault, they'll live a happier life and more doors will open for them

I think if you came to the US and actually talked to a lot of African Americans, you might have a different perspective because many don't see themselves as the victims you're always trying to portray them as, many thrive in the US and just work hard.

being racist is stupid...encountering racially-charged issues, not stupid.
people still can't comprehend the difference between racist and racial.
PS: nobody got back to me on the whole "All Lives Matter/Rapist Lives Matter" conundrum; i'm just gonna assume it fucks with the entire perspective of "All Lives Matter" people, so it won't get addressed.
PPS: and of course, same old shroomery as usual. falling for the same trends.

where I work we have a pretty even mix of white, black and latino people. none of them seem to have those kinds of issues, the funny part, a few of the black people are the ones making the racist jokes about black people
here's actual conversations
TA (black man): hey pris, can you help me with something? Pris: sure thing, what can I give you a hand with TA: I need you to cut me a 1 foot length of wire Pris: no problem (pulls out knife, cuts wire, hands it to TA) TA: damn at those knife skills and you aint even black
TA: hey pris, what's on your plate today Pris: not much, I have to go to line 3 and hang that.... TA: BLACK MAN? you're gonna hang a black man aint you Pris: no TA, I'm hanging that TV hanger I fabricated, I aint seen no black men TA: you blind mother fucker

Well that's the thing, if someone just watches the media's narrative of how angry and frustrated black people are about some issues, it really gives a false impression of how blacks live in the US, many are doing very well and don't have that anger that the media tries to project.

Very enlightening item in today's DOJ report on the Baltimore PD.
Quote:
black residents were more likely to be stopped and searched as pedestrians and drivers even though police were more likely to find illegal guns, illicit drugs and other contraband on white residents.

It's really easy for the Feds to come into a community and start judging the way law enforcement is policing the area, but at the same time they are the one's that put in the shitty drug laws into place.
Are the Feds going to change the laws? Or are they just going to say police better as you are being told to enforce laws that violated their civil rights? It's called hypocrisy.

it's surprising how many people say you cant trust the media and then they hang on every word the media throws their way, that a small, minority of blacks are angry, frustrated and fed up with the treatment they believe they're getting while the majority of black people arent experiencing it. most of the time those angry blacks are the very reason they're discriminated against, they discriminate themselves, they ridicule young blacks for 'acting white' when they speak properly, try to get an education and try to break away from the ingrained violence in the culture these angry ones are trying to keep them submerged in. those angry men and women are the ones that create and perpetuate their problem and then want to find someone else to blame for why they live their lives by the choices they make

The DOJ doesn't make the laws, they enforce them. Plus, Baltimore cops don't enforce federal drug laws, they enforce state and local drug laws.
