I would never support a draft. Nobody should be able to make that decision but ones self. They could advertise it....to increase numbers, but to force someone to go fight is not a good idea.

Under the same circumstances which I would support any form of slavery - under no circumstances.

Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains. Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

For men, yes. For women, no.
Seriously, though, I would only support a draft if we were being threatened continentally, and even then I don't think it would be necessary. I think people would defend their country.

Conscription all the time would be great. Going to war would be alot harder if everyone's kids were to be sent.

You know, thats an interesting point!
But I'm going to say that even though I'm thoroughly unfit for military duty (we're talking major section 8 here folks! ) I am totally against the draft.

I think every national politician / affluent member of big business with relatives in the draft age window should be required to fight in the wars/"police actions" they enact. It makes me wonder how different the last year would have been.
As far as continental defense, I think a draft would be unnecessary. I am all for a citizen brigade invasion of Washington to help protect our freedoms.
