invert lids on polyfilter?

I dont understand wheter they invert the lids when they have made the homeaid poly tops, when pressure cooking,
Ive heard somethign about the rubber sticking from the bands sometimes, should i have the lids the way they are suppose to go or inverted when sterlizing birdseed?

bands down. Polyfill makes negates the pressure and air exchange problems that people would filp lids to solve.
