Another set of photos... Dieing to find my first psych!

After disappointment from today's trip where we thought we had Panaeolus cinctulus, we took a trek to find any more.
This is in Arizona.

Very grateful for the people willing to help, hope one day I'll be able to pay it forward

None are active, except possibly the last specimen. Any more pics of it?

Could be an active Gymnopilus species. But even if it is, there isn't enough there to do much of anything.

But just walking around taking pics of random mushrooms isn't the most efficient method. Read this and this for your next post.

Thanks for the tips, for my first post I definitely took better pictures and labeled them but didn't want to pick these all like we did the last time since it took so long to separately bag them and sort after. Really thought some of our shrooms looked almost identical to the ones we researched in Arizona and we had pictures on our phone of them. How much can we trust trusted identifiers? If you wouldn't mind taking a look at my first post and confirming his findings that'd be great.

Yeah doctorghosty knows his shit along with the other TIs. I don't know if you are into cultivation, it looks like you aren't, but that can be a different story.

Lots of mushrooms look identical to each other/what you want them to be until you get more experience. That is just how it goes.

But yeah, trust the TI's, hence the name. But that doesn't mean there aren't very knowledgeable people here without the tags, that can help you out a lot. Just browsing the forums (which I would recommend if you want to improve your skills), you will quickly learn who knows their stuff and who doesn't.
