Republicans and welfare
    #23514215 - 08/05/16 08:25 PM (7 years, 5 months ago)

So I was just brushing my teeth and started thinking about how pissed off people get over welfare queens and just in general pieces of shit that abuse the system. Now I am no democrat, but I just think it is stupid to put so much focus on that. There are SO many budget issues and that is what gets focused on? "They're spending my money!" No, the government is spending your money and they're getting the pocket change after uncle sam buys another 10 billion dollars in weapons. Fucking stupid. How about our massive military spending, domestic spying, and wasteful government agencies for a start? And I lean far more right than left.

That's all.

In the Netherlands, villa owners get all sorts of subsidies and whatnot to finance their lavish palaces.

Of course, you will always have assholes complaining about foodstamps but ignoring the whole welfare for the wealthy thing.

Shady..

Seemingly related, a friend of mine owns a very succesful business, but almost half of the work they do had to be outsourced to another company because of a rule the government came up with.

It just so happens that the owner of this other company is big friends with the mayor, but whatever, it's probably just a coincidence, right?

If you are rich in this country, and know the right people, you get everything handed to you.
If you are working class you can get fucked. And God help you if you are on welfare, they got all these little schemes to make your life miserable: you have to work 30 hours a week for no pay, you have to apply to 4 jobs a week (But not during your mandatory work, of course!), they have complete control over your money, they keep close tabs on your bank account, you can not start a business, you can not register as an indipendant contractor, you can not do this, you can not do that... geez.

Meanwhile private companies rake in millions from government subsidies, but no, you see, it is the welfare that is ruining the country.. bloody idiots.

EDIT: And another thing, the refugee crisis is being handled here as shady as possible.

For instance, small villages with around 3-5k people get a refugee centre. All fine and dandy, gubmint promises about 800 refugees and no more.
And then, when all the plans are set in motion, suddenly it is revealed that, no, there will be 5k refugees in your shitty little village.
So people get upset, right? And the media portrays these villagers as irrational hicks, but really, this is a set up.

FUCK I HATE THE LIBERALS HERE! Bunch of rich, smug, smiling assholes raking in all the money, destabilizing the country, dismanteling the middle class, all in the name of their almighty god; the Economy.
Fuck.

corporate welfare is just more welfare, the same with international welfare which
they like to call foreign aid, just think, if these western government weren't
spending so much to bail out private companies and corrupt governments, the people
in our respective countries could live a better life, they could end issues with
the homeless and impoverished

it sounds terrible, you should organize a huge protest and camp out for months
promising not to leave until someone overthrows the king or something, something
being the pivotal role since you really shouldnt know what you're protesting other
than demanding even more free stuff... you could call it Occupy Zuidas
