To much heat in fruiting chamber???

The temp in my fruiting chamber is 84 degrees. I know that PC fruit best around 72. How concerned should I be with the higher temp?

I'd also like to know this. Considering the average temperature at midday where I live is 100 degrees farenheit (38 celsius)...

In the worst case you will never get pins. Also the contamination risk is much higher with such a high temperature.
On the other hand many people have grown P. cubensis successfully in the summer when such temperatures are common.

Now everybody beat my ass if I'm wrong on this but...

I think all a higher temp does to a mushroom that is already growing is make it grow FASTER. As far as pin formation goes, it is said that the lower temp innitiates pinning. If you are having trouble pinning lower the temps, but if you have a good pinset, and then RAISE temps to 80F or so they will grow MUCH faster.
