I'm traveling cross country in a couple days. Been working on a fresh, start over iTunes because the last few years I've been severely slacking on music downloads. Plus my taste has completely changed.
I need some suggestions on some cool jam band studio albums/best live recordings. Also this is the stuff Ive been really into lately:
Slightly Stoopid Pepper Dirty heads Phish Dead & Co Dopepod
Basically anything with quality music that is available for download for free on the web.

Based on what ur already listening too, I would highly reccomend 'Stick Figure'
easily one of my favorites within that genre
If you enjoy rock, check out 'Circa Survive'
they have a lot of albums, go for Blue Sky Noise first imo

Was about to recommend Moe Looks like I got beaten to the punchline
Waiting For The Punchline ~ 9/27/13
Here are some other bands you may dig:
Chris Robinson Brotherhood:
Chris Robinson Brotherhood - Narcissus Soaking Wet
I guess this is from their upcoming 4th? album, can't wait! The past 3 have been great so this will not disappoint I imagine.
Nektar:
Desolation Valley live BBC 73
Camel:
Never Let Go live
Caravan:
Chiefs and Indians
Astra:
Silent Sleep
Astra may be a bit heavy for driving but man they are an epic group!
Badger:
Wind Of Change
New Monsoon
Gelstream
I will try and think of some more good ones and post more tunes for you to check out.

Your welcome I tried to post some decently diverse stuff but its all in the classic rock/ prog part of the spectrum for the most part.
Here are some more I forgot:
Focus 3-Answers?Questions!Questions?Answers! (1972)
Brushfire Stankgrass: "City Rats" at AHA AVL
Moe Thank You For Cruising pt1 (my favorite moe concert)
Max Creek: Old Stones, Broken Bones
I will post some more as I think of it and finish listening to some of this stuff

a great source of jams is Spotify... they have 20 to 30 minute live versions of songs by bands such as the grateful dead, jefferson airplane, the doors, hendrix, etc
