Just a by the by...I'm about $200+ into this. Shit not cheap but I applied myself. This is coming from someone who lives on maybe $50 a month, if I'm lucky.

I just sent in for some Redboy from FSRE. I want this one pretty bad. Alternatively I asked for a race called Cambodia Gold. Looked intresting: Cambodian Gold The Cambodian Gold is a F1 hybrid of Psilocybe Golden Teacher x Cambodia. This strain is developed by a dutch Growkit producer to immediately start growing a variety of the iconic Golden Teacher strain at home. It has long been a dream for this producer to provide an easy-to-use grow kit for Psilocybe cubensis Golden Teacher, but the strain underperformed and seemed unsuitable as a ‘Ready-To-Grow’ box. However, through a process of controlled mycelium growing and careful selections, the spores of Cambodia and Golden Teacher were brought together as a powerful cross with hybrid vigour that is called “Cambodian Gold”. The Cambodian Gold was first introduced as a ‘Ready-To-Grow’ box at Azarius!

Don't buy a grow kit, I can't see how it would be any difference to regular GT. The description makes no sense "This strain is developed by a dutch Growkit producer to immediately start growing a variety of the iconic Golden Teacher strain at home" huh??? Just grow the apparently iconic GT at home? The B.S. companies come up with to sell spores

Am I correct to assume that since I spawned to coir with very little grain...my flushes will be small?? And if so what can I do to get a better flush this time?

Two little pins on two pasty pods of PE6 got me breakdancing and shit over here...I'll post pics tomorrow. Fucking trich in almost all my tubs, grains, etc. Had me feeling blue.

OK so update. Took a couple days because I'm a DXM head. Old school too, so shit takes its toll now. Anyway pins. One grew half an inch in one night. Also have a picture of some agar that's dried up. I'm actually wondering if anyone else has dealt with this. It's got the oldest mycelia of all agar plates and every time I transfer it soaks the shit dry fast. I'm wondering why. Jar, it's a gallon? Maybe half gallon...I inoculated with a very small amount of spawn via g2g. Taking kind of long to fully colonize. I think. 16 days so far. Ariel mycelia I believe. Just thought it looked interesting. Looks like its trying to run away from the contamination.

A gallon is huge for grain. You'll probably be overrun by contamination before the myc gets to 100%. A smaller jar, fully colonized then transferred to other jars is the way to go. Not saying a gallon won't work but time is an enemy.
EDIT:Never mind.... the last pic already shows green mold.... toss asap and never op n your colonizing grain jars EDIT#2: Nevermind... you already knew that lol

Pins suck the moisture out of the plates as they grow. If the culture was ms you should transfer the pins to make for really clean clones.
Those wbs jars are far too full. You are not going to be able to shake them easily.

Sup fellas thanx for stopping in. I already know I messed up using the big jar. I do stuff on a whim alot because I'm a bit analytical and tend to over think things. I'll read and read and as you know there are plenty of different ways to do one thing. Eventually I choose one and usually use a little from here little from there... Anyway yea I realize I messed up putting in to much wbs in jar...its been shaken once about 20% colonization, I know I should have waited for 30% but because the jar was bigger I shook to spread the mycelia in hopes that it would colonize faster from more points since it was just colonizing the top at first. I will b filling to 75% of jar from now on if i have to I'll spoon it out with a sterile spoon. Pasty, how can I get my agar to stop pinning?? It looks like my two PE6 jars are going to keep pinning. They are MS from print. I'm already onto cloning the pins because they are pretty clean and from what I understand are better choices for strong growth. The biggest pin im going to let grow in vivo tho. I want a clean print.

You don't want to stop the agar from pinning, those pins are going to be good clones. People look for those. Clone them pins and then drop the wedges to grain before they have a chance to pin.

Thanks pasty. I can't help but feel that if I let the biggest pin continue i will be doing myself a disservice. I say this because I feel like If i let it sporulate it's adding more genes to the mix. I don't know it just feels backwards. Might be wrong.

That's why you clone it so it doesn't have loads of variations in the mix.

Update: I took three pins, transfered to new agar. Let biggest pin go it sporulated early this morning. I took the fruit cut a piece from center to clone, cut the cap off and am making a print. Since they seem to like to pin I threw one onto a plastic pod of agar with poms cut up into peices. Figure it will be easier to pull individual pieces of pom or pins w poms already pre cut. Two others went to plain agar pods. The fruit clone was transfered to agar also. It has a root in it going all the way across one side in agar the other not. It's diagnal. It's for easy transfer, I saw a post about using toothpicks to do this. I used a root from Desmanthus illinoensis that I've had drying for a couple months now. It was pced along with everything else for 90 min. Im just experimenting. One thing that was really curious to me was the fully formed fruit did not bruise when cut. One of my pins did, a very Navy blue. Almost black ish. The agar plates that pinned did to tho a lightish aqua blue.
Just some observations, etc. I'll post pics later. Gotta get a good phone.

 1. Agar drying from oldest mycellia. Two almost three months old. Transfered to new agar a few times in between. No pinning at all. Very thin growth. Only one transfer grew ropey. 2. Ropey growth of same variety. 3. Colonized side of jar. Taking too long to colonize. Any tips would b appreciated. I kind of feel I may have stretched this too far. This mycellia comes from three month old mycellia. Transfered countless times and then stretched further by me using maybe a tablespoon of grain to inoculate the half gallon jar. Want to use as spawn to coir but am afraid it doesn't have the strength to do that. Which makes me just wanna case the grain. Thoughts?? 4. Un colonized side of jar. 5. Another jar. Contamination city.

I know man those jars were all made at around the same time. I'm learning. The wbs expanded way more than I thought it would. On top of that I was in a real hurry when I made bottom jar. It was actually a last min thing. I left my wbs soaking for two days and went back to strain so it wouldnt ferment. Strained, then had to leave. So I jarred some up. Came back two days later to find the seeds had popped and I had all kinds of growth. I also had threw in a large chunk of colonized agar while on dxm. Shrug....

Everything got green. Not sure what this is but I got green on everything but what was in glass. Also the agar with the stick in it, it surprisingly is clean also. The pods turned spotted with mycellia that quickly turned green. Some green then black. One turned completely green in two days! The whole bottom was yellow too. Strange. I have some new plastics I found at dollar tree (USA), pcing now see if they hold up. I will be starting all over. I have a master of the unknown variety for later work. For now I will attempt to get some clean cultures and start some new cultures from spore. PE6 again sense they seem to want to grow so badly. Also any day I should be getting another print.

I got some straw from Walmart. It has some black mold spots. Its all dry but I'm wondering if its OK to use. I wanted to do the bucket teck for pasteurization but idk about that with the mold. Oh and the dollar tree plastics held up. 10 for $1...or 5 of the reds for same price.
