You've saved me from myself, and I can't say how thankful I am. * 1
    #23511747 - 08/05/16 05:45 AM (7 years, 5 months ago)

I am not ashamed to admit that I've been mentally struggling, and have lately been undergoing various assessments for a personality disorder. I've been suffering with crippling depression, and self-loathing which also stems into a complete lack of self-esteem or desire to be close to others for fear of rejection. I came across Psychedelics and Mental Health: A Population Study which came to the conclusion that psychedelics were not an independent risk factor for mental health problems. I also came across the infamous study by John Hopkins University, and decided to take the plunge to see if I too could benefit from Psilocybin. I acquired two-grams of 'Psilocybe Cubensis Cambodian', and on Wednesday August 3rd, I had the most introspective and therapeutic experience of my life. I was able to see how my behavior, and attitudes impact others which I have never been able to do before. I could literally feel someone hugging me, and at this point I broke down in tears, and again it felt like someone wiped those tears away. It was extremely therapeutic, and I've never felt so happy, and accepting of myself, and most important accepting of those around me. I've felt nothing but positive since, and had relatives point out to me my noticeable change in mood, and attitude. It's extremely difficult, and distressing to feel a prisoner of you're own mind, and a prison that you can't escape without taking drastic action - Psilocybin has been the key to that prison, and has set me free.

sometimes it takes you seperating from your "self" even the tiniest bit and observing from the third person to really feel how you as a person affect everything around you. I'm so happy to hear that you had this experience and I know after a week or two of integration it'll set in even more so. safe travels friend, everything and everyone loves you (including yourself); you just need to put on a new pair of shades from time to time to focus in on what's important. and personality disorder is a gift, use it for good and not for evil:)

Nice to see people having life changing experience, if I never went for a walk to look for a fishing spot where I found my first patch, I wouldn't be here today:mushroom2:

The mushrooms spirits are wonderful, aren't they? try never to forget their divine lessons. WHat was your setting like in this trip? Did you eat them alone? What did you do during your journey?

Are you planning to revisit the mushroom kingdom in the hopes of receiving even more knowledge, wisdom and blessings?

I tend to always trip alone in my bedroom, but in the past have always done LSD. I just sat on my bed, and looked out my window whilst contemplating issues, and listening to the Psilocybin Research: John Hopkins University Playlist on Spotify. Yes, but I like to leave at least two weeks week between trips on LSD, and will most likely do the same with shrooms. I'd like to see how long the effects last me before I take another dose though.

Thanks so much for sharing, so happy you had a good experience  sounds like you gained a lot from them. I wonder if a week or two micro dosing may also be beneficial.

They really are unique, i had some recently and i cried for some reason, felt like a blockage was being cleared or something. Some blocked emotion being released

I too felt a blockage being cleared whilst tripping, but that was my sinuses draining, and my nose running. :mushroom2:

Come to think of it I remember a similar feeling during my most recent mushroom trip. Really runny nose.

Anyway, congratulations on making it through to a better you! You are so strong for having made it this far and your testimony is an inspiration to sufferers of mental health problems everywhere, me included. Thank you so much for sharing!

Good energy to you and yours~

I cried too! I've been tripping for 5 years at this point. HumboldtHippie, great post.
One thing though. I don't like to measure out the time between doses. I used too and it didn't do me any good. I'll trip two days in a row now and not trip for months as well. I recommend just observing what the medicine does and follow your heart! It's like improv dancing. Kind of don't plan to do it, just prepare/train for it and get down when you want to. I hope that makes sense.

:seriousthumbsup:

That sinus drainage is typical - I never get that except when tripping hard.

I'm right there with you Humbolthippy I relate to your post so much, it's been almost two years since my first mushroom trip and I am truly grateful for all of the events that have unfolded since then my mind too has been set free.

Good stuff man.
