Hope so. They appear to take a couple of days after a rain event to show.

Funny you should say sclerotia. I always think after pulling the bunches out "I wonder what they are attached to?"
In their description it talks about them coming up in leaf litter in montane forests in New Guinea. It says they have an association with some tree species. Nothofagus and I can't remember the rest. I have written about it somewhere here on this thread. I have found they are coming up in shaded areas in Summer. Some are in leaf litter, others are in grass. Still others are in tree bark. I found more in the grass last Autumn. I think because the sun wasn't as intense then.
So far the gold ones have been in tree bark. The green/gold ones are in leaf litter close to a shrub. Brown ones in leaf litter and grass. Black ones in grass. They all generally have a long stem which goes underground. Stem is attached to reddish clay soil and pieces of mudstone broken up.
Latitude is about 30 degrees S. Longitude I don't know off hand. Coastal as in about 50km due west of the coast. Up in the mountains at about 850 meters.

I should have said eucalypt forest with only small clearings that are man made. They grow in one clearing next to sawn up logs.

Thanks for your support. Sometimes I think I'm over the top showing the same bunches from day to day. As you said they are unique. Therefore I'll post away not worrying about that.
P.tasmaniana- new one first image. Same bunch from yesterday next two.

Those are some serious stipes on the first bunch! Quite a bit of undergrowth to get through, huh?
Awesome work as usual. Keep it up!

The stipes went about three inches underground. I grabbed them and started tugging and thought they must be attached to a rock. No, they just went that deep into the ground.

Thank you . Looks like they are going to be other places as well. I saw a gold cap P.papuana a few weeks ago without my glasses. This was about 200m down a hill from where they are now. I realise this now because at the time I thought wow a P.alutacea growing out of the red clay soil. That can't be, so what is it?
I'm going to check back at that spot soon where I found it.
A couple of new P.tasmaniana coming up today in the last 2 images.

A question, how potent are papuanas? Anyone have a weight dosage for them?

I guess anecdotal evidence of potency is a subjective thing. Never the less I will subject you to my anecdotal evidence. They are potent weight for weight. Very potent. Did I say potent? That's an understatement. They are at the top of my list for potency. More potent than Copelandia cyanescens and much longer lasting. More potent than P.subaeruginosa and much more visual.
I have never been frightened dosing with mushrooms. One exception being meltdown P.cyanescens if that's what they were. More than 3g and I didn't like the bodyload. The biggest dose I have had with P.papuana would not have weighed more than 2g dried. If it even weighed that.
They are intense, long lasting and visual. The visuals are different to what I've experienced with mushrooms so far. When I have taken a kilo of bridgesii boiled for 20plus hours I have experienced a similar effect with colours. Auras sparkling and shimmering off everything. Very rapidly. Its a bit overwhelming and I had trouble standing on the 2g dose of P.papuana when it was happening about 2hrs in.
Before that I felt one with the sounds of nature and was enjoying it. After that started happening I had to lie down on my bed. My breathing felt forced for the next couple of hours. I found it hard to relax and a voice kept telling me to leave all the words behind in my mind.
I got up and ate some plums about 5hrs in I think. It was still intense so I laid down again. I started to feel a pain in the top of my stomach and thought the mushrooms had poisoned me. The voice said it was just tension and I need to relax. Next thing I thought I had a hernia at the top of my stomach and would need to go to hospital. The voice told me not to worry and just relax. I then got paranoid about this website and thought everyone here is out to get me.
The voice said I was famous and no one cared to get me. Then I went in the opposite direction and really had an ego trip. All the wonderful things that were going to happen. By this stage my dog was giving me the shits wanting to go for a walk. It must have been 6 hrs or more in. That's when I became frightened again. Noises were just getting into my body. Every noise seemed so loud and invasive.
The voice said just walk away from the negative thoughts and it will all be okay.
I wasn't going to talk about their potency. Now I have. I haven't tripped on mushrooms since and have trepidations about doing so. I have funny feelings that they have some kind of power over me. I used to get like this with mushrooms about 30 years ago. Thought I'd grown out of it. For now I prefer taking pics of them.
They scared me from taking P.tasmaniana. I took a couple of P.tasmaniana the next day after a smaller P.papuana trip. I felt too wasted and needed something to get me going. So I ate two big P.tasmaniana with the bell shaped cap. I felt nothing even an hour later. I get home and I've a rotten migraine. I'm starting to lose my sight and panicking.
The voice said to eat some of the P.papuana caps I was printing. I was having trouble seeing but put two caps in my mouth. I wanted to have more but the voice said no. I tasted their incredible tang and bitterness. Ten seconds after they were in my mouth the migraine went away. That's impossible but that's what happened. The voice said that the tasmaniana's are not for me.
So I haven't touched anything drug wise since that trip. I don't even want to. That's unlike me but I'll go with the flow.
