Am I? Adden had a photo of P.tasmaniana last I knew. So I'd better check that thread out then. I just think I'm a fairly crappy photographer with a beautiful species in P.papuana. It really needs a better photographer to take pics of that species. Some of the colours that I just can't capture with my camera and lack of skill.

Inski, Alan Rockefeller or Ericos Bob would know how to bring its beauty.:mushroom2:

My eyesight is the biggest hurdle. Minus 14 in the left eye. Minus 11.5 in the right. I wear contacts or else I couldn't see two feet in front of me. Trouble is that I then need to wear magnification glasses for closeups. My left eye keeps going in and out of focus because I've got a vitreous retinal detachment. So there's this big black looking curtain thing that keeps sweeping across my lefteye when I try and focus on something close.

Bet you didn't want to hear all that.

In this hole where this bunch popped up I found more today. Right down the bottom of the hole. Had to use the flash.

Cloudy today, so P.papuana will mature and drop spores. To repeat the cycle again sometime:heart::mushroom2:

All P.papuana today. No sign of P.tasmaniana. The heatwave must have killed off their mycelium.

Man, so many phenotypes. I wonder if it is as simple as whether they are living of "abc" substrate or "xyz" substrate or water leaching nutrients off an adjacent moss or chemicals off a leaf?
....Or leachate from adjacent rock minerals.

Golds, greens, greys, browns, yellows, tans, blacks....the golden greens are the prettiest!
