P.papuana most likely.

Great shots.
How did you find them for strength and effect?
Are they growing in the soil or organic topsoil?

Hey Bunya I found them on an old bulldozed track at the bottom of a gully. The whole lot only weighs 13g so its just a small dose. I would have only eaten about 3g fresh- the smallest specimens that showed bluing first. Leaving the rest until I get off the computer.
They taste a lot like meanies (Copelandia cyanescens with a metallic after taste. I can feel some effect off that tiny dose I've had already.

Hi Heyowana, are you 100% certain these are a blue staining Psilocybe species?

Please make a spore print before consuming, these look like they could possibly be Galerina.

Hi Inski:smile: I ended up dividing them into 3 doses. First lot which had turned blue on the stem were little ones. The whole lot weighed 13g. When I took the second lot I weighed them and there was 8g left. So first lot weighed 5g. After the second dose the biggest ones were left. There was 4 of them.

My mind has returned to normal. Well not really now I feel like I've drank coffee. Before after the third dose my mind was so blank and it was hard walking around. My eyes kept crossing and I'd get closed eye visuals of mushrooms and snakes. Mostly purple , green and golden colours. My heart would race but it felt like it was in the middle of my chest. Then I'd get more out of it.

I had to lay down for about an hour because I felt too weird. A little while ago I tried to watch a movie but looking at the actors eyes was difficult because their eyes looked mean and animal like.

I should have waited for the stems to blue on all of them because then I could have taken them all together. My impatience made them less effective. I think they were all a bit old as well. They were too dried out to leave a spore print. Same with the one yesterday.

There are some buttons coming up. I'll spore print them if the wind we keep getting doesn't dry them out as well. There is a real stillness to these mushrooms. Same with the ones I took last May.

All those things I have forgotten about start coming back. Like rainbows in shadows. Rainbows moving like snakes in shadows and dark places. Purification through the fires of psilocybin. Making me realise that all the tension about things to do I have been holding on to doesn't matter.

I can release that tension with a breath. An inhalation followed by an exhalation and then I am free. Free to choose to follow a way. A way that leads to freedom.
BLAH BLAH BLAH think I'd better go. To bed that is and dream............:mushroom2:

Hi Heyowana, that's interesting.

I'm quite certain this is not Psilocybe papuana, try to get that spore print and save some dried samples.

The idiot is back. Myself I'm talking about. About one hour ago I got over the effects. I felt my bright chirpy self again. Inski I think you are right saying they aren't a Psilocybe species.

After I went to bed last night I started hallucinating. I got really hot. My heart would speed  up and then I'd see things over my bed. Mainly giant mushrooms with snakes and humanoid things coming out of them. I awoke from a nightmare when I could go to sleep. Watching a human size dinosaur crawling onto my bed at my feet.

This morning I'm walking around as if its all on a movie screen. Like I'm not doing it. I walk barefoot next door and don't even feel the rocks and sticks. In fact I've been walking around all day when I'm not doing taichi to make myself feel normal again. My ears have been ringing like crazy.

Yes about an hour or a bit more I broke through like a membrane separating me from this world and became part of this life on planet earth again.

I think if I keep going like this with a dare devil attitude about taking mushrooms to get out of it I will lose big time. Its a bit like Russian roulette I'd say.

Some pics to follow of some fresh fruiting bodies plus some spore prints. They didn't print that good.

Why the paper looks purple without the flash I don't know. Looks like the first one which looked way too washed out with the flash is the only one to look at to appreciate the colour. I could take more?

My paranoia may have added something extra to the trip. Before I went to bed I was convinced they were a caerulescens Psilocybe species. Then when in bed my heart starts racing I'm hot as anything and I'm seeing stuff and thinking maybe Inski's right and I've poisoned myself.

It wasn't delirium but I started panicking. At 3am after having nightmares then staying awake waiting for my heart to race over and over I got up. Did some taichi and felt really good. I went to sleep after that.

I didn't know the spore print is purple black until I posted it here. So I've been walking around all day vowing I'll never touch another mushroom again. They aren't friendly mushrooms by any means.

Maybe they were so strong because they were very dried out. Weighing 13g I expected nothing really. Perhaps before the wind dried them out they would have weighed much more.
