Thanks gamminEYE.
No I haven't Fractaliopsybe because I have no use for prints of any of the species this thread is about. Well any species of mushroom more exactly. If people want prints they just PM me. Then I'll print them and they are fresh.

Sorry for my blandness, Dude you keep getting the from so many HR's.
You are Truly going to revolutionise Hunting in NSW!
HecticHunter right here!
P.S: do you find your self lucky or knowledgeable? *when hunting?
I cant decide but NSW thread may show otherwise.. (*Me 50/50?*)
----------------- With confirmation of combined future thread info.. But I am already pretty sure that 's can* Grow all year round in NSW. (stateWide)
More the coastal side going up & down of different Sp. following climate lines(season-change).. NSW wide is in a good half tropical state in areas most of the year. which most of the climates grow in... So it may be for NSW a case of when and where?
Did that Northern NSW P .Cube Var. ever get identified?

To answer your question about luck here's a story. It's what happened but story will do. I looked at when I first found P.tasmaniana on the old thread. I then said I INTEND to find another species so I've found three all in one year.
There were some old mushrooms that looked different to the other P.alutacea and P.tasmaniana species. I started getting frantic for some unknown reason that I HAD to find this other species before one year had elapsed from my first find.
I think it was 16th April. I should check but I'm slack. I found the first fresh specimen of P.papuana. Brought it back and showed my brother. He wasn't impressed and said what others might say.'It's just an old sub' I said it wasn't and it's something new. 17th of April was one year. So three species in a year.
I'm just tuning into a bigger picture and my reception isn't that clear. What prompts me I don't know. I like what Obtuse said the other day on the Tas thread. His message was about that It's the mushrooms that find the hunter. Other people on these forums say it too. Maybe it's true.

Oath man! Like I've said B4, I hope to find some of them too south of you soon!!!
Well I concur almost 100% As my First find was by accident when fishing... They told me to randomly turn around and look at the bush regeneration area... Obviously I don't rip em out any more.*

Like those pale blue stems in the second pic Fractaliopsybe.
Yes that's what I mean about bigger picture. The way circumstances and situations all come together. Then we are left asking Why? or How? My rational though inadequate mind in the scheme of a larger picture searches ineffectively for an answer.
The answers are there in our more subconscious states. Like in between being awake and falling asleep. That time when we cease to put judgements on our perceptions. All the information is there coming in unfiltered by the rational mind. Things can sound and appear quite outlandish during those moments and startle us into thinking again and trying to make sense of it.
Unable to work it out we go back into it. Waking states can appear dreamlike sometimes. Just walking from A to B without concern for an outcome. Listening to and observing nature. Often at those times I'll see a place and THINK I've been here before just like NOW. Or a FEELING that I must walk over there and LOOK for something.
The information is coming in all the time. What or who is organising it is unimportant to me. Even if I knew it would just be another label which doesn't help me understand anything on a deeper level.
Spring on the East coast of NSW generally isn't a good time to look for actives. I'm sure Panaeolus cinctulus are around before Copelandia cyanescens get going. Depends how far North you are in NSW. Also the elevation is important. Or lack of it for species like P.cubensis and Pan.cyanescens in Spring. Dung loving species I'd stick to the lowlands this time of the year.
P.alutacea doesn't have a problem with the cold. Same for P.semilanceata. But where to look? That's the question and only trial and error will give you an answer.

Yeah cheer man, Great first find that was. Those big ones dried out to be 1.1gm-1.6gm !!! very potent too! like dumb ...
Well I guess that's what we can find out! - Is Where and when in NSW they can be. - What 's are possibly about.
In time, As this will take a lot of correlations with State wide NSW hunters working together.
But I'm Half sure that NSW wide already has year round 's. NSW State wide* P. Cubes - September/ October till March/ April.. P. Subs - April - August. That's basically it with just those two. One stops the other starts...*
Also adding in the others over time and research.... NSW may give NZ a run for their number of Species on top of that...

New England area of the hunter

I've been obsessing about other things of late so I've been away. I looked up the ID thread gamminEYE and there was a possibility that those specimens were Panaeolus cinctulus. The spore print will let you know to distinguish them from Panaeolus foenisecii. Wish they were easier to spell. Pan.cinct will have a jet black sporeprint.
Did you work out what they were?
I dumped the container of horse manure around some redwood clones that I just planted out. I put the clones around and in the drain where the P.tasmaniana grow. Some P.alutacea should start fruiting off the horse dung within the next week I hope. For we are getting light showers of a night
