Hi all,
I have a glass honey bottle which I have drilled a 1/4 inch hole in the lid, I will add 1 and half tablespoons of agar powder, 1 and half tablespoons of potato flakes, a teaspoon of honey and 500ml of water, shake it up, put the lid on fill the hole with polyfil and cover with foil, put in the pressure cooker for 45 minutes. Do you think this would work

Use 2% agar. So for 500ml use 10grams. Same for your flakes about 2% by weight
You'll want more than one "petri dish"

No. But if you have dextrose (glucose) available use that rather than honey as the source of dextrose

a level tablespoon of agar=7 grams

Is there any reason you're not just using a PDA recipe that someone already came up with that's probably significantly easier than randomly coming up with your own?

This is why you need a scale, nobody can agree on what shit in tea spoons, for all we know some of these people are using actual spoons for stirring tea for their measurements. There's no telling where assumptions have wriggled their way in about the volume or density or consistency.
It's like 10-15 bucks for a decent 0.01g incremented digital scale. Weight is a non-arguable factor. 10g of agar to 2 cups of water works. For sure. Indisputably. Sans headache. I think you get the point.

Yeah they got scales in most gas stations for like 10 15. Or staples or office depot got larger models which you will want for weighing piles of mushrooms anyways.
