I blame porn and masturbation. But then again, sex is sacred, if you wouldn't have a child with said partner, why would you fuck em?

This. Held me back from having a normal sex life for such a long time. I quit. Now I have to SMH at my earlier porn-addicted self. Nothing wrong with beating the meat once in a while to get a release but watching porn and wanking off daily or multiple times daily just for fun is definitely detrimental.

Once I stopped watching porn for good, I tried watching it again, it didn't do nothing for me and I was like "man this is so fake and lame." lol naivety is a bitch.

I met my husband online. Through a group chat site.
Met online a few years ago. Actually met up over a year ago..
We never really "dated".. Anyway our sex life is plentiful so I disagree with blaming the internet.
It's bound to be a combination of things. . We have no way of knowing if it's less than generations before recording statistics.
People are now on more prescription medication than ever before.
More people are obese.
More people are educated.
People are over worked, at a job that's often a hour if not longer away.
People eat shittier food, leaving them lethargic.
Sex isn't taboo and secretive. It's perfectly ok to discuss sex positions and to enjoy it. Maybe the lure of the forbidden fruit isn't there anymore?

Speaking of Feminist stuff...
I've noticed in the past few months, as I've been becoming much more outgoing with people in my daily life, making new friends, making conversation with people in general more often... That whenever I even speak to a female who is around my age, they and other people automatically assume that I have my eyes set on this person and desperately want to have sex with them.
It's crazy. Even at my job, there's this really beautiful girl that I work with. There are a lot of guys that work there that are around her and my age. None of them talk to her unless they absolutely need something from her. All other men who are much older than us talk to her because apparently that's okay since they obviously are much less likely to try to have sex with her.
But apparently a guy (me) talking to a girl (girl I work with) means I'm some kind of horn-dog trying to 'take advantage' of some woman.
I think the thing is that I'm more confident with myself in general than most of the other guys there. Not bragging or anything. It's just obvious that that's the way it is. So they take my confidence with myself as being some kind of "I can fuck any woman I want and she will be mine" kind of attitude.
When I actually see it the other way... The reason I like speaking to a lot of women I see in general is not because I want to have sex with them. But because I'm just comfortable with myself enough to do so. Meaning I'm probably talking to some other girl already anyway (I am) or dating someone at the time.
It's weird how that works out... It's like people project their own insecurities onto you because you like making conversation with somebody, when actually the reason you're talking to her is because you aren't interested in her in that way.
Fucking lame-asses.
Sorry. Had to vent.

Yeah man, I mean, I can still get hard and finish when I watch porn, but that dopamine rush I used to feel is gone. These days, when going through a dry spell (which is rare, thank god for girlfriends), I will usually just wait until I can't take it anymore and some fantasy while I'm trying to sleep will push me over the edge, haha. It's just so much better when you can share it with someone, and getting used to porn as your sole source of sexual stimulation definitely deminishes the drive to go out and look for a real girl (or man or whatever). It also increases my social anxiety like tenfold.

Some scientists have said it all has to do with spending too much time engaged with one's devices ( phone ) during early developmental stages. Some peeps lose the ability to be confident in the kind of intimate physicality required to have sex. It's very little to do with "body image" at all. It's how their brains have become de-humanized (?) through constant reactivity to artificial computer/electronically generated data of all types, social media is actually just punching keys .

I would NOT have kids today no matter what! Hell I never had them anyway. All you parents/soon to be parents/new parents are VERY brave and I applaud you for having the guts to have kids. Good luck!
I also think it is because of the tech causing a disconnect in the way humans interact with each other. I have seen people at bars on the fucking device "talking" to someone they want to meet??? WTAF is that shit!!!???

You guys should go to church. And I should take my own advice. But that's niether here nor there.
--------------------
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Do you guys think the whole 'Technology =antisocial' thing will rise as we go into the future?
One thing that I'm optimistic about is Virtual-Reality.
I know Facebook bought the Oculus-Rift and is planning to create some kind of Immersive Interactive environment that you can talk to and hang out with your friends in while wearing VR equipment.
That would seem to have a positive-benefit of being able to see your friends "In-person" in a way, and use body-language whenever you want to talk to your friends at home, instead of just typing words onto a screen or skype or whatever.
Some people see it as a further step towards de-humanization. I think though that it could be on the whole, a positive thing. I think that something like immersive VR environments, especially in combination with a full-body detection camera and gloves would even encourage people to get out more since it's actually closer to reality and less distant from reality than just sending text back-and-forth.
Eh?

Encounters in person are the way of socializing our brains are shaped for. While I would agree with your stance that sophisticated VR contact is closer to reality than texting, I somehow can't deny that it is, in a way, a step towards de-humanization in that it is just another way of communicating without face-to-face contact. It won't motivate people to go out more. And that's where you get laid. Demolition Man comes to mind.

Is fifteen early? I consider it average. Some kids these days lose their virginity at age 9 or some shit.

Well. It is at least closer to face to face communication. It is face to face communication in a way. Especially when you get to Eye-Tracking equipment, which is already being made today.
The main reason I feel that it would encourage people to be more social in real life, and "getting laid" more, is that if you just think about it... Imagine if every day when a group of friends were in their homes... They decided to get on their VR equipment and hang out in a virtual space. They have Head-Mounted-Displays (with eye-tracking eventually for eye contact and head-motion detection), cameras around their bedroom to detect walking motion (or a circular treadmill for in-place walking that doesn't take up room), and gloves or whatever other clothing or apparatus to detect body-motion.
These friends can communicate with each other in a space together with body motion, face-to-face eye contact, and will obviously want to use microphones to speak to each other while in the space.
Compare this to most kids and young adults going home and texting on a smartphone and logging into facebook to send text to each other.
Obviously, trying to tell everyone to step away from the computer and go outside isn't working, but something that encourages more expression and body language might.
I'm not saying VR will ever be equal to or better than real-life. But surely I think for most people it is way better than the way we currently interact through social-media.
Using different avatars and what not in Virtual-Reality might even encourage people to explore their bodily-communication more creatively, since they won't feel as restrained as in 'real-life'.
Again. Not saying it's necessarily 'as-good' or better than actual real-life socializing. But surely it's better than coming home and Facebooking or texting for hours.

Whats the trend?
Sounds like this is a longitudinal study, maybe there are somewhat "normal" ebbs and flows in the data.

I think the most cut and dry answer is we have more shit available to us then they ever did. Aside from books and grainy black and white tv with a grand total of 2 channels and no sound. Fucking was literally the most exciting thing they had available to them.
