Too hot to grow?

Haven't kept up with mush cult lately so I wonder if there has been an increase in contams around the boards.
Well, just as it happens every summer, I had a few jars and tubs contaminated a little prematurely. Does anyone else have trouble growing this time of year? I think it's a combination of the heat and the higher spores counts. I've known a couple indoor weed-growers that don't grow this time of year also.
I always get the best grows during the winter.

Had a successful grow right before the summer heatwave hit. Now on my last cakes I had only 6 out of 18 nake it to full colonization. This truly is the summertime blues

PNW here. Not a huge fan of air conditioning. I lost a lot late June and have kept plates (in ziploc) in the fridge. It's the worst possible time to be cleaning up outdoor prints tho. I try to keep everything in the coolest area of the house.
I'm prepping outdoor spawn on oats and haven't quite figured this out yet. Maybe I'll just get a standalone a/c on clearance and use it for a few weeks.
Give it 6 weeks, it'll be raining and mushrooms will be all over the ground wherever you walk..

I've had a ridiculously clean summer, nothing has shat the bed on me, all my jars look clean, even the ones I do somewhat sloppy. Last summer it was bad but for some reason things are just going smooth right now. It's hot as fuck though...

Nearly all hits, but a couple of misses this summer. Always noticed minor flucuations with the seasons. Outdoors is a huge gamble when it's like a oven outside and 90f+ dry waves are unpredictable. Even indoor tap water ppm changes during summer.
No matter what it's all good. They always do what they can to survive!
