I made pasty plates 3 days ago and it said in the tek that growth should be seen by the 3rd day. My plates have ZERO growth. Print used is a year old stored in drawer. Should I be concerned?

No. Be worried after 2 weeks or something.

Is the wedge you transfered atleast fuzzing up? the last batch of agar I used was a new brand called Seaweed Solutions. It was supposed to be PDA but there wasn't enough nutes in it to promote myc growth...
no growth usually=not enough nutes.
I had to start over. I added a bunch of honey to the next batch. Just did the transferees now, hoping they work, it sucks putting work in to be taking steps backwards.

What wedge? This is spores to agar.

My MS agar inoculation took around 7-8 days to show signs of growth.

My bad, didnt read the OP very closely. I do that sometimes when the same questions get asked over and over. If they are spores keep waiting. If there is no growth after a week or two its probably because your agar is too firm.

I said growth from spores should be seen in the third day? I don't remember saying that.

I re-read and I got that idea from elasticaltiger's Tiger Drop tek (https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/20111637) where he discusses how he inoculates the plates under "The Move" step
"Your dishes are now inoculated. You should see growth in about 3 days. Contamination should be easily visible. I discard contaminated agar and wash the plates immediately since I have no intention of using them."

I think the reason he said that is he is suggesting that you are using a fresh print that you took yourself. But really spores can take up to 3 weeks or longer to germ.
