Wow, great score! I had no idea they had a nickle day, never seen that before so will have to keep an eye out.
Around here you can go to greenhouses and they will have tons of plants which are sickly set out for free, so with proper care you can get a bunch of free plants, and it's fun to nurse them back to health.

Hell yeah dude! I bet with a little love those may end up having some nice color, very cool leaf margins on that one.

Well, there is actually no Nickel day, they were just cleaning out all the plants that didn't sell because of how late it is in the season, and they were selling everything for a Nickel up to a Dollar.
They are also selling stuff cheap at a local plant stand we have here as well.
Thanks for the reply man

Nice, very healthy, I'd hit grandma up for a couple cuttings of that one
Picked this one up from lowes on the cheap, very neglected, it's a flamethrower spiced curry but more like a sparkler right now I'll trim it back, put it in some good soil and hopefully it will show some color soon. Here's what the variety is supposed to look like healthy (pic from Google)

Here are a few pictures of mine. The first two show how they turn white when beeing moved to another location. The purple part turns completly white overnight. Takes a week or two to recover.

Very nice!I'm trying to get one of all the Coleus variations out there, and I'm going to take one cutting of all my different types to overwinter. I'll keep em Bonsaied, and compact,to be mother plants fr the following spring for cuttings.

Very nice bro! Really makes the spot look good.
I need to thin the herd to just the ones I want to over winter, way too many and don't want to kill them and for some reason I planted a tray full of seed I'll try to get pics of everything tomorrow.

Yeah,I grew most all mine from seed as well.
I plan to take at least one cutting of all the different types to overwinter, but we'll see if that actually happens

How do you over winter your coleus Bro?
I tried last year and they all died. I guess I have to keep a light over them instead of just keeping them in dormancy conditions.

I have kept a few cuttings alive I'd say for well over a month now in just oxygenated mineral water and light from fluros as an experiment. They are very healthy and growth has been kept to a minimum.
Space I was gone earlier, give me a call.

Thanks buddy
I over winter my Coleus just by placing them under fluorescent lighting,it's just as simple as that! They really thrive and show their true colors too
